By any chance has anyone heard of 1942 the pacific air war by
Microprose. Got it on ebay last year in mint condition in original
package. Huge manual ,6 floppies and key refference card.
I know it's an antique but I couldn't resist buying it to add to
my collection. Btw flying sims got me into subsims. Go figure. :doh:

hey, I have 1946 too.....

My copy of IL-2 1946 should be arriving shortly as well...I would've cut to the chase and ordered it sooner if i had known that all of the IL-2 versions were included in on the 1946 DVD. I was looking for some type of Gold Edition all along...lol. :oops:

It starts to look like we are going to have a alot of players in MP soon. :up:

Speaking of MP....how does that work with 1946? Do you play online as you would with SH3 or is it independent where one can use something like Xfire to browse servers?

With Hunter, he makes the server and gives me his IP address so I can join straight to the server via IL2. Dont know if Xfire or All Seeing Eye works.

You all are starting to get me pumped about getting the game and a new Joystick as well. :yep:

After some more MP action, I promise to make some more composite shots showing some of the action we´ve had.

It might not be the safe way, but it's the fun way! I wouldn't try it with anything other than an SA2. What I really like to do is get over a SAM-rich area, flick the jammer off, wait to see where the missles launch from, turn jamming on, and go after the launchers.

That's how I live life: With one finger firmly on the "Reset mission" button... ;)

Actually, I screwed up, trying to take a Screenie flying that Rocket Plane, as once you get near the sound barrier it likes to nose dive, I'd managed to pull out of this near the ground and went to hit pause for a screen... and hit the power-down soft key amd shut the system off instead.. :damn: The ultimate crash. :doh:


P.S, I can't recall if this game (IL2:FB) has a native screen capture key or not?
