Command Aces of the Deep Graphics
Tried to search for my answer. Is there a way to use quotes to find only "Aces of the Deep" posts?
Anyway, I'm running it on XP using compatibility: Windows 95, 256 colors and 640 x 480 (or whatever it is). The graphics are extremely grainy. Also, another compatibility question. Do you need to use it for the setup.exe when installing the game? I didn't do that. I only used compatibility on the shortcut after installation. Thanks and have a great day! Ken |
I run Aces on XP using DosBox, with no compatibility modes, and it looks just...well, about as good as Aces can ever look. But it plays well, and I still do play it.

Welcome back!
klatall!:Kaleun_Salute: After a silent run of nearly 5 years! I still play Aces of the Deep, SHII, Destroyer Command and few others on my Win 98 computer and save the Win8 for SHV and SHIV.

I'm probably one of the few around here who haven't played it but I did see it running when at Neals house.

Just thinking about AoD gives me the warm fuzzies....:subsim:

Thanks to All!
I appreciate everyone's help with this, very much. :) Been away for awhile; had to have surgery. Back in action and ready to sink SOMETHING! ANYTHING!

I had fiddled around and somehow got Command Aces of the Deep installed with dosbox and then gotten distracted on something else and just now finally getting back to try it out.
Oops I have Aces of the Deep with the expansion disk running in DosBox, not Command Aces of the Deep. |
I have Win7 64bit and found no way to install Command Aces of the Deep but I do have Aces of the Deep with the expansion disk running well in Dosbox. I was able to video capture with sound using CaptureWiz, couldn't through dosbox.
