Feature Transfer error when installing SH4 from disk
 

Has anyone else come across this issue, when I try to install my copy of SH4 Gold from the disk, it loads normally at first, then seems to get stuck on something like Burmajawa.wav for a few minutes, then gives me a "Feature Transfer error" and shuts down the install. How do I fix this?

I have not, and did a "new" install a couple of months ago on a Win10 64-bit machine without issue... If you open File Explorer and then explore the disk, right-click on the setup file and choose "Run as administrator", does it make it through? If you are attempting to install into a Program Files folder, don't. Make one of your own folders, such as "C:\Games" and put it there, if you haven't done that already, but more likely, I would suspect a bad spot on the disk, or maybe the optical drive beginning to fail. Does it halt in the same place every time, or does it vary? You could attempt to ~CAREFULLY~ clean the disk with a proper soft cloth moistened with clean water. Try not to scratch it though... copy it ASAP... There are all sorts of vids and articles on the internet on cleaning both disks and drives, some of which are questionable in nature, so be careful.
