Panzer Commander Wordpad issue
 

I decided to use my old Panzer Commander(v 1.2) game as a change from Panzer Elite. I have installed it into an older XP system (dated about 2002). However, when I try to run the game, I get a blank page showing Wordpad. I am using the onboard video processor (128 mb).
I have used the Windows compatablity program to put the settings on Windows 98, but I still get the same problem.
I have installed in the Direct X 6.0 that came with the game, as well as a more current 9/10.
For some reason the only computor that I can get to at least start running this game is my Compaq laptop (dated about 2006). It will start the game, but the graphics are horrible and it may freeze. With my dekstop, I can't even get that far.
Any suggestions as to what I can do to get the game to run on my desktop.
