The 12 O'clock blues.

I have been hit with the annoying bug where all of the dials in the control room and hydrophone station are stuck at 12 O'clock. I know there is a fix but I can't find it here in the forums. Does anybody know where to find it or have any info available?

As far as I remember it is related to .cam files in AI_Submarines

Thank you Anvar. I will look at that.

SH4 deals with that occurring... only fix I recall of, was in completing mission objective & if satisfied with your patrol, was to then just basically head back to base & dock.

On starting the next patrol, the dials would all be back to acting... normal.

Can't swear to it, but... seem to recall propbeanie figuring it was related to some ship or sub, not being worked right in the details for it.. or was it a couple of them. In that instance on FotRS, believe it was in regard to a couple of IJN subs... that had a part, in causing this issue.

propbeanie can jump in here & reconfirm this... if they have time to.

I seem to remember someone making a fix for it in SH3 but I could be wrong. That's what I did going back to base and it was fixed.

The 12 O'Clock High Syndrome is from encountering something that interferes with, or conflicts with the player's sub. That would generally be an AI sub that still has any "player" parts on it. You do not have to "see" that sub, only that it is within rendering range (roughly just beyond the horizon). It is also possible to induce any one of a number of maladies upon yourself at just about anytime though, if you do much shelling out to Windows - computer resources and game scenario dependent, of course...

It could have been a shell out to windows then. I did do that once and that's when it started but sometimes you can go to windows and get away with it. I guess I didn't that time.

I have minimal issues on the one computer, but another is nothing but grief every time, even if I pause the game first. It makes no sense, since they are very similar computers, with the same Win10 OS... The one that does the shelling OK will crash when using Discord, but the other doesn't... say whuh?? :hmmm: go figure.

Computers a like women, you'll never really figure them out! LOL!!!:haha:
