Mh 60 sounds

Seems it is messed up and not sure if it's the game or the RA mods.

When you go to buoy's to listen, all you can hear is the Helo??
Couldn't hear a contact scanning the sonar if you wanted to!

It's the same when dropping the hydrophone. Can't hear a dam thing

I don't recall ever listening to contacts with the sonobuoys or dipping sonar. I've always just looked for narrowband signatures.

Oddly enough, when I use dipping sonar, cannot see any differences in the little sound line on the bottom of the screen, the one that shows spikes for louder sounds..

Yet at the same time, when I scan across with the mouse, there are contacts that show up. NOW if I was able to actually hear (as this post is about), I may be able to hear a contact and tell what it is..

Same with active sonar from dipping..you can barely even see the background when the active goes off, and sometimes I can't even see the thing scroll from left to right. ONly way to see it is to be sitting in complete darkness in the room lol

That's expected behavior. You're talking about broadband vs. narrowband sonar. Regardless, I don't think I've ever actually "heard" a submarine on the broadband before (I'm assuming that's what you're listening for), even for very strong signals. If it does make a sound, it's a very bass-heavy kind of hum, nowhere near as noticeable as a warship or merchantman.
