Ship Require Identification Chemical Goods Freighter
This Ship Here
SCT = Chemical Goods Freighter or Small Coastal Tanker https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...ow_wxh/SCT.png I couldn't find any world war two ship match to this and I have serious doubt this is a world war two ship at all. The thing above the mast is clearly a radar not a standard wwii merchant equipment. |
Ship Require Identification Transport Steamer
This Ship
NTSteamer = Transport Steamer https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...NT_Steamer.png A plausible WWII island ferry ship, found quite a few looks like it but nothing 100% match. |

Ship Identified Lake Class Cargo Ship
Just found out there is another group of ship looks quite like this one
KQS = Small Costal Merchant https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...ow_wxh/KQS.png The matching ships are US made WWI era Lake cargo ship USS Lake Shore http://www.navsource.org/archives/09/49/094904503.jpg USS Lake Superior http://www.navsource.org/archives/09/49/094904606.jpg USS Lake Champlain http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/1217179102.jpg USS Lake Huron http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/1217214401.jpg SS Lake Sunapee https://www.shipscribe.com/usnaux/ww...unapee1-08.jpg These are not 100% the same ship but the general profile matches and the ship dimesions within reasonalbe range.Consider the model quality we currently having now,I say the model matches these ships fair enough. |
Nice find ! But did those ships travel through the Atlantic ? :06:
|
Which one? those KKFKK merchants?Yes. Half of them stayed in the great lake area and retired before WWII. The rest went all over the world sold to all different contries and some even paticipated during D-day.

I think it would be rather difficult to 100% identify small ships like those but sometime you never know.
