4GB Patch
 

I've seen reference to a "4GB Patch" in a number of places in this forum and in the "Downloads" section, but I'm not sure what it is. Nor could I find it in any of the places I usually seek information from on this forum.

I assume it's not the v1.4b patch provided for SHIII by Ubi Soft.

So...

1. What is the 4GB Patch and what does it do?

2. Where can I get it?

3. Where does it fit in with the installation of SHIII, Sub Commander, GWX Gold?

Some answers

1. It extends the maximum memory usage of the Sh3.exe, so more mods can be added.

3. After installing SH3 and Patch 1.4b and probably SF removal anytime. It is not necessary to keep mods in mind.

If my copy of the SHIII disk does not require the disk to play, I assume it does not have SF, correct?

If your copy of the game comes already patched to 1.4b, it will not contain SF.
