My Microprose fleet includes Gunship, Silent Service 1 and 2, M1 Tank Platoon, F14 Fleet Defender, Dogfight, F-19 Stealth Fighter, and Gunship 2000 for the PC. For the C= 64 I've got all those and some others (Gunship 2000 was never released for the C= 64, neither was F-14 Fleet Defender).

Hi Mr Chris :D

Don't know about theroller coaster game.
I got the game I posted for a total of $5.00 includeing shipping on ebay.

It's never been played and I don't want to open the original packageing
the 6 floppies came in.

It came with 3 manuels too. Don't see that anymore.

Lessee...

I had F-19, Silent Service II, M1 Tank Platoon (and haven't found another tank sim I liked since), Civilization, Covert Action (not a big hit, but I had a blast with it), Masters of Orion, Masters of Magic, etc.

Owned Fleet Defender and to this day I haven't found a flight sim I liked as much. MPS games had the best 'immersion', the best 'fantasy life' quality I've experienced short of the Sims, right down to naming all your pilot buddies after your friends.:D

Microprose's Task Force 1942 wasn't a bad naval game for it's time. You got to command Japanese or US surface ship forces in the Solomons. The night battles were real fun....

Now, Civilization 2 was like crack for me when it came out. Was up all night adding to my empire. However, the follow-up versions were never as addicting.

I don't think I played that one.

Never got to play TF: 1942 either. Did play SSI's 'Great Naval Battles' series some, though. Those had lots of detail, but serious interface problems. MPS was always good about making an 'open' game, and wish I'd got to try their surface warfare on for size.

I always knew if I bought a MicroProse game I would get good value for my money. I liked them a lot.

Rotary Crewman 11-09-07 10:40 AM

They also did Grand Prix, Grand Prix 2 and Grand Prix 3 which were fantastic (I Know they weren't subsims but still a great show of what Microprose were brilliant at. Simulation)
