I wonder how much stress that puts on the person's wrists, elbows, and shoulders?

And all the time while being midair the attack team hopes the defenders are not armed with tennis rackets.

You just send in the Drones to clear the decks and put down suppressing fire.

Equipped with an automatic machine gun, Songar can carry out operations within a 3-kilometre radius. The system can transfer images in real time and carry 200 rounds of 5.56×45 mm NATO ammunition. The drone features a specially designed flexible ammunition feed chute (ammunition belt) and an automatic firing mechanism, and can operate at altitudes of 2,800 metres.

Imagine 20 of those dusting the decks!

After that the Iron Man flyers can board and place Boots on the objective.
Cause as any Grunt will tell you.
You don't own it until you put Boots on it!

Pffff, that is children's toys only compared to Russia's Poseidon drone project. Stealthy, autonomous, in sneaks in submersed and detonates offshore the enemy coast in a nuclear blast, causing a dirty tsunami that carries the nuclear pollution with the waterwaves deep into enemy main land, over very huge areas, contaminating not just soil surface and air, but the whole groud and base water level as well. It was long time only laughed about - it seems nobody laughs anymore. It means a new era and diemnsion of nuclear deterrance.

Or the Russian Zirkon missile, ship-launched and homing in at 6000 km/h. Forget any missile defence against that, any such reasoning is just an illusion, is self-deception to allow you sweet dreanms at night.

Yes, both systems are still in development, but hell are the Russians serious about them. Serious enough that several NATO members are very seriously concerned, including Norway and the US.

Putin's goal always was to make it impossible that any serious crisis in the world could be solved without Russia, and even less could be solved against russian interest. This way, Russia becomes and is an indispensable nation again.

And if I recall it correctly, the Russian Avangard hypersonic stratosphere glider weapon already is in service since early last year or so. I seem to recall a news message like that from one year ago.

All three systems can carry nuclear warheads.

Interesting. I'm not sure of what use these suits may be. At least militarily.

Spec Ops. Overcoming a cliff, wall. Accessing unaccessible locations quickly.

That's what A10 Warthogs are for. Honestly, the pilot of this contraption is cannon fodder. I see no use for it other than quick delivery of medical supplies or pizza from ship to ship.

Rescue, sensor emplacement, recon, just to name a few

Rescue? Is this jet pack capable of lift two? What sensors need replacement?

Heck, not under fire of course. The pilot of these suits cannot hold weapons.

Think of it as a parachute to not get down, but to get up, or across an obstacle.

The A-10 'started' as the Wright brothers' flying machine. This version of a jet suit might very well spawn who knows what in 120 years from now. Everything starts somewhere.

Jimbuna 05-11-21 06:26 AM

Let the drones do all the work.

In 120 years I probably part of an archeologist dig. I will not be part of he actual digging and will not care to much what the jump suit has become. :D
