Pennants mod

Kaleuns:

I have Anvart's DF Antenna UpDn, Flag & Pennants Final V2 mod, but for some reason I can't have the pennants work on my sub, everything else is working fine, except the pennants. Following the readme file, I press CTRL+PgUp while in port but nothing happens, perhaps something I missed or did wrong? I just checked with the S3D program trying to open the Subsflag.DAT file but it given an error msg as if the file would be corrupted or something.

Alternatively, does anyone know if there is stand alone mod for the pennants or provide a d/l link for the LATEST AND WORKING version of Anvart's DF Antenna UpDn, Flag & Pennants mod compatible with GWX3.0?

Any info will be most welcome

Thanks in advance!

Or something.
S3D can not handle all sorts of files available out there. This does not mean the file is corrupted or does not working.

Try this:
kendras open flag.dat site:subsim.com

If then "corrected" for S3D, you may see that it has nothing to do with your "not workin"-problem.

Greetings.

Anvart had a-a password for this file specifically. Pennants work perfectly if you've done everything right. Preverite your files NSS_Uboats**.eqp on the presence of flags and pennants.

Did that and was then told one have to save and get out of the game when near a port, change these entries to get the correct flags to show tonnage-wise, then reload the game and they'd show.

That didn't work either so I lost interest. Amazing that a (at the time) eleven year older game, AOD, managed to do this flawlessly but once again something that SH3 didn't.

Thanks for you reply, but I am not sure where to look for that file...
do you have a working link perhaps?

Thanks a lot to everyone who took the time to post a reply, but really I don't know what the solution is.... well, seems that at least in GWX I will have to stay without the pennants. Didn't find a real solution

Links have not a long life on Internet.
Use a Searchmachine on the Internet, like Google:
https://www.google.com/

or any other Searchmachine you like, but restrict the Search by appending "site:subsim.com" to restrict the Search to Subsim.

The Keywords i told you was:
kendras open flag.dat site:subsim.com

Put this above line into Google and you will find:
https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=231100

On my Last Search it was the third Link provided by Google.
I recomment read the whole Thread. In Post #2 there you will find how to "repair" your file.

Generaly i have no idea what "DF Antenna UpDn, Flag & Pennants Final V2" is. All i can say is "GWX_DFa-Flag+Pens_2010.7z" works for me, even i do not use GWX v3.0.

Greetings.

[EDIT]
"GWX_DFa-Flag+Pens_2010.7z"

MD5 8323744a20a1a748b8af3e60e3951f0e
SHA1 59fdd8a9791c238a84e51af29eb27c20ded98b9c
CRC32 795a6502

works with GWX v3.0 as intended without any changes!

Tested today with unmodified(!) GWX v3.0.

So i can say: If it does not work, GWX v3.0 is _not_ used.

Please note: it works in a small radius in Port. When all Seamen looking to Port.

Thanks a lot Hebe Vollmaus!!!
Just made it work this afternoon, but yes, it is the 2010 version. Anyway, Thanks for all your effort in helping me solve this and all the Kaleuns who took the time to post a reply! :Kaleun_Cheers:

If you're able to figure out how to get the correct number of pennants shown with the correct tonnage, let me know please !

Thanks.

I got the pennants showing at the extended attack periscope, but all of them, not according to the tonnage... My only objective was to have the pennants displayed/deployed... If that's what you need, I can copy the modifications I did to the Commands_en.cfg file, that's all I did, modified 2 lines :03:

Ok thanks. I could get all the pennants to show, etc. but that seemed silly to me to have a bunch flying completely unrelated to the actual number sunk, etc.

Thanks Anvar. I tried this before and could never get it to work right. If I get curious enough maybe I'll try it again. :)

Hi all.

Much ado about nothing...
The mod was made in January 2010. The SubsFlag.dat file was locked for S3D. In 2011 or 2012, several users asked me to unlock this file to work with it in S3D ... I did it. See link:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/nlwnkh...sFlag.dat/file
To understand when the pennants can be raised, I recommend watching the video carefully:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/twhjmy..._2010.mp4/file

Best regards.
