Online Purchase of U-Boat Expansion with Disced Vanilla?

Hey guys. I want to get the U-Boat Expansion pack for SH4 so I can mod up to the current version of TMO. All I have is the vanilla game, but it's the hard copy in DVD form. If I buy the U-Boat Expansion online, will that be compatible with my disc, or will I have to order the Expansion disc from Amazon? Thanks!
