The Unofficial "Official" SH3 screenshot thread!

I haven`t seen a thread like this here (maybe I`m just blind) so I decided to give it a go.

So... post your best screenshot you`ve taken during SHIII.

Instructions to take and post a Screenshot
1. Take screenshot by pressing CTRL+F11
2. Change the Screenshot to .jpg and resolution to 640x480
3. Go to www.imageshack.us and host the image there
4. Copy the "Direct link to image" url
5. When you want to post it here, make it look like this:
"" whitout those " "

Okay, lets get it running then! My two best shots:

:D , a new paintjob sure wouldn't have cut it.

It really was a frustrating experience, more than 2 hours realtime i played cat and mouse (guess who was the latter :D ) with a hunter killer group that nailed me on my way back to St. Nazaire. Sea being calm, destroyers probably elite, i couldn't sneak away. My only hope was to continue trying to evade their attacks... that is until a DC made short work of the electric engines. Instead of playing sitting duck underwater, i blew ballast tanks to surface for some artillery exchange while trying to position one destroyer between me and the other vessels :arrgh!:...pointless i know, but it sure was a spectacle.
That was my fourth campaign, i never managed to get this far (Nov 1943) w/o getting sunk. :damn:

What format are they? Save them as .jpg in some paint program.
It`ll make the smaller.

gdogghenrikson 08-27-05 08:23 AM

I did that and it now says the file type is not allowed and it is under 1024 kilobytes

Damo1977 08-27-05 08:41 AM

Damo1977 08-27-05 08:58 AM

OK this what I do (still need a smoke)
1. Open the picture up on my computer, checking to see how many Kilobytes...Looking after 56k users.

Hang on you 56k user ain't you gdogg, with all virus scans running etc? Also I am thinking Imageshack is sick after the pictures I am reading above. Out of all of them I only I only see one

Damo1977 08-27-05 09:16 AM

but don't worry continue on process.
Considering its like 56 or less KB. This is what i do...... even on my sig.
Go to my e-mail address, click on the rego tag.
Upload new image (its in the bottom in blue writing just below the box, do not I stress do not click on click on the "post new image')
iF YOU HAVE SUBSIM STILL OPEN with image shack just copy and drag the image code for "FORUMS"

Damo1977 08-27-05 09:20 AM

REMEMBER TO POST THE "FORUM CODE"

gdogghenrikson 08-27-05 09:44 AM

That first searchlight one of U-49 is great, and I love that aged Bismarck picture - it looks absolutely real. How did you do that? I'd like to use that method to get some 'aged' screenies of my own.
