It never happened to me, but I remember to have read that some day on Subsim, and it might be caused by GWX.

I have had this happen in every SH-3 mod; GWX, One Alex v47, CCoM, NYGM and LSH-15. Unzoom (way out) and scroll East = CTD. Every time.

The fix is don't do it...

Correct. I figured, new PC, new flashy mod, I'd be good. Nope. Lesson learned.

The reload worked out fine last night. Just avoided zooming out and looking around the map too much.

Hello OneAlex...I look forward to my submarine career ...Jan.1944 ..I sunk one ship in grid Ae86...but problem is he doesn't have torpedo damage on hull

GWX Onealex Edition 1.50 has been updated. The main link has been updated.
1 Removed the ship recognition panel on the Attack periscope screen (F3).
2 Replaced u-boat hull sounds when deep underwater.
3 Correction of the radius of sight of ships.
4 Removed unnecessary files.
5 Minor fixes.

Why not version 51?
If you install without removing the previous one, then the extra files will still remain.

It is normal for SH3 do not overlap hull texture with the damage texture when torpedo explosion was under the kiel

Question. Any reason why you removed the panel from the attack periscope? Is it to force the use of the observation one?

Can you please make the the screen around the periscope and binocular lents more black? Its a bit transparent and now with the removal of the ship id from the attack periscope its even more noticeable.
