Trouble with 1.07 "patch"
 

Hey guys, got an itch to play this game after, Jesus, what must have been a 20 some odd year break. Anyways, I downloaded the 1.07 patch from here, but all it is, is an .exe file...... Now I'm no dunce, most patches, are more than just an .exe. Anyways, I renamed the old exe, as per the read me with the patch, and extractred the one file into my install folder. I ran the file, the splash screen still says 1.0, not looking good. Go to load into a mission, and after load completes having clicked "Underway" the game crashes with a "Memory can't be read" error.

I'm using Windows XP, yea I know, don't care. That shouldn't be the problem. I find it odd that the patch, doesn't seem to be a patch at all, and I can't seem to find the other patches.

Can an old man get some help here?

I'll be damned if that didn't work. Splash screen still says 1.0, but the 3D view is disabled in game, the anti cheating ini from 1.07.

Now if only Sub Command had a campaign that was as much fun to play. Sure it was dynamic, to a point, but the FMV with the News and the Admiral that either praises you to high heaven, or banishes you from it in 688i was just gold. Man it's going to be nice to see those things again.
