Arclight 07-07-11 03:09 PM

Tried that a bit with both aircraft, didn't really like it. Got the second one to the right, just end up twisting my neck.

A-10C coming online.

"Get yer motor running,
head out on the runway"

Yeah, right, sorry. On it.

Arclight 07-12-11 04:15 AM

Good lord, keep forgetting to post these. Had them converted and uploaded, but then something comes up, poof... maybe I should just start taping post-it notes to me forehead.

Fly about dropping all my ordnance, looking forward to making gun runs all the time. You just don't want to do that with a payload hanging from those wings, you know? No really, you don't; snapped off a wing last time I tried that, might have pulled out a little hard though... anyway, first Avenger run, take 1 burst of AAA, and guess what single component it takes out? Yeah...

Having someone on your wing makes flying better... dunno, it's just magic.

I really should respect the minimum altitude on bomb runs.

And of course the usual to wrap things up:

Strafing home plate.

Succesfull taxiway landing.

And some fancy 'Berbunch Parking'***8482;.

Herr-Berbunch 07-12-11 07:25 AM

I keep forgetting too. Nice ones of me actually being relatively successful:D

..but then you had to include the little parking 'dink'. I doubt in RL that would've snapped off your port fin, and my port wing tip - speed 4 kts :nope:

It is nice trying formation flying, I still need to suss out autopilot to keep a straight and level heading - I'm all over at the minute, as you may be able to tell as it's all hand/eye stuff, which is great until I go to external cam to get a pic!!! I'm suprised I've never hit you in the air. Loved the low level through the valleys the other week :yeah:

When's the next time you guys are going up in your hawgs? I'm available tomorrow after 1930 GMT. I guess I could also be enticed to break out BS. The last time I was in with you guys I had a blast for the hour or so I got to hang around. So looking forward to the next sortie.

Hawk aka JB-JB

Herr-Berbunch 07-12-11 02:06 PM

Should be BS tomorrow evening, and A-10 on Thursday. Details, I think, are on page one of this topic.

Will be nice to see you again :D

Here's Arc's missing wing manoevre.

And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling aerodynamics!

Was thinking, we could shuffle times and days a bit. At least if that means more people can fly I'm all for it.

I'm relatively easy now (oi!) as PC is now out of stepson's room in the main family room, so I don't have to wait till he's at his dad's Wed-Sat to be able to play! :D As long as it's night time, I should be ok.

When did you have in mind?

Arclight 07-12-11 07:00 PM

I dunno, was thinking about making it work for others. My schedule isn't that tight...

Lionclaw 07-13-11 05:03 AM

I could perhaps join the Black Shark sessions. :)

Only if you are crap enough to make me look great :D

The more the merrier.

hawk2495 07-13-11 12:33 PM

It'll be nice when they get the compatibility patch out, then you could set up just one server and run both.. Which works for me, since I'm infinitely better at flying the hog.

Arclight 07-13-11 01:14 PM

Would be nice indeed. As powerfull as the Avenger is, it's a pain to actually use against tanks. That leaves you with PGMs to get the job done, or CBU-97/105. Getting a plain old Mk-82 on target is tricky. Ka-50 flight would be a good thing to hunt out those tanks then.

Arclight 07-13-11 03:07 PM

Ka-50 coming up in a few minutes.

Look, two burning wrecks - and not one of them is mine :yeah:

http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/5...enshot043r.jpg

Although I had earlier ditched, it doesn't count as a flaming wreckage :yeah:

http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/452...enshot049v.jpg

My flying improved dramatically.

But please ignore the burning building in the background that I was in no way responsible for. Other than parking up in it. And clipping a vehicle on the way in.

Arclight 07-14-11 03:06 PM

A-10C, coming up.

Aparently rockets do have a use.

Answering the age-old question: can Mavericks be used in air-to-air?
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...715_003812.jpg
Yes, they can.

I'll be out tonight, visiting a friend. He might just drink himself into a stupor long before flight time, but that's a long shot.

Herr-Berbunch 07-20-11 07:21 AM

I had a crap night sleep last night, and a terrible headache today so may well be grateful for a night off.

But then again I may feel 100% later.

:)

And as for that AA Maverick :nope:, vapourised my A-10 - didn't even struggle with controls it just turned into an instant ball of dust. At least I knew it was coming.

Arclight 07-20-11 09:14 AM

My jaw kinda dropped from the resulting fireball, almost forgot to take the screenie. :haha:

Scratch my previous engagement though, he bailed on me. But we can take the night off if desired, no obligations here. ;)

Herr-Berbunch 07-20-11 09:19 AM

Meh, I'm feeling a lot better :D

If you're not up and running I'll probably practice some more on RS3, unless Vegas has finally arrived.

Arclight 07-20-11 12:42 PM

Judging from the usual raving enthusiasm, I'm guessing it's just you and me. Wanna do the Ka-50 or A-10C? Or hunt some terrorists instead? Definetly running A-10C tomorrow, provided I'm not alone, but tonight we can really go any which way. :hmmm:
