Iran sending warships to US maritime borders

Let the fun begin.

The US being theatened by the "iranian Navy", this is so absolutely ridiculous. Did Cheney say that or did that bright idea really spring from those iranian masterminds?

Even if Iran feels threatened by this (US bases around Iran, without drone bases) ..

.. do you really think the Iran will or can do anything about it.
"We feel threatened and will send the "Navy"" ?

Cheney, as the CEO of the Halliburton oil Company, sure would like to get to iranian oil reserves and frankly - i do not know why the US even bothers to attack Iran, instead of now trying to make it a scapegoat first. Apparently the US gives a sh!t of what the world thinks about them, like NSA, like F the EU.

Iran has not attacked another nation in well over 200 years; something that cannot be said about .. hmm .. other countries :hmm2:

Exactly. Nothing to see here folks.

@Catfish Dick Cheney is not the CEO of Halliburton he has not been the CEO for over a decade.Halliburton is not an oil company. They build and in some cases maintain oil rigs, pipe lines stuff like that oil companies pay for the services that Halliburton provides. Not saying that I agree with everything they do or have done.

Bit misleading really. It's not so much as Iran IS sending warships to the US maritime border as it is that Iran has said it WILL send warships...which means it probably won't and if it does it'll be two frigates on a trip to Cuba and Venezuela.

Like Platipus says, bit of a non-story. It's not as if any of Irans warships could do much in US waters other than invite a few dozen Tomahawk and Harpoons on their heads.

Washington (CNN) -- A senior Iranian naval official says Iran is sending warships toward U.S. maritime borders to send a message, a move a U.S. defense official characterized as an announcement, not a deployment

Iran moving naval ships close to US territorial waters? Damn nice of them to bring our targets closer to us... :D

They might as well serve themselves up on a platter. I wonder if Iran and North Korea are competing to see who can put up more of a show for us.

mapuc 02-09-14 05:20 PM

Some one mentioned the American bases 'round Middle east. I see that you take those for granted. I wouldn't

Due to the progress of these radical Islam that wins more and more ground in the area I guess that in about 20-30 years from now, USA will maybe have 1-4 bases left.

Back to Iranian vessel. It's nothing more than a show-off(that what they try to do)

Ohh remembering something an old Iranian friends ones told me. When thinking on that, I think they are near USA just to get some of the good stuff from the evil country.

You can just look up there own description on the Halliburton website. The name is just Halliburton.you can look up any company on NYSE sight if you want to know its full name. Anyway my point was that Halliburton is not an oil company an oil company would be ExxonMobil.
http://www.halliburton.com/en-US/abo...de-id=hgeyxt5p

Net profits of Halliburton revenue in 2011 was 24.8 billion ExxonMobil an actual oil/energy company had a net revenue of $453.123 billion in 2012.

Not sure if you are in agreement with Catfish or myself as to what Halliburton is.

Anyway to some extent this is off topic at least to me.Iran has oil to sell but and it sells it in many nations so Iranian oil companies are just as guilty of being evil bad dudes or what ever.

Also had Iran not caused the problems it had in the Gulf for the past 30 years and have a stance that they'd to the same again maybe the US Navy would not be in the Gulf but what do I know.

swamprat69er 02-09-14 08:21 PM

Stealhead, I'm with you 100%.

I used to work for Halliburton.
