So, then,...

If Canada declares war first I guess it will be ok by international law :hmmm:
Anyway the first question at the border is always "Occupation?"
And Canadians could just answer "Yes".

Ha ha. :haha:

This was actually a Canadian initiative .

On Tuesday afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland called U.S. Vice President Mike Pence with a proposal: could Canada and the United States agree to ban all non-essential travel between the two countries?
Quote:

According to senior Canadian government sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, Pence responded positively to Freeland's suggestion but wanted to take the proposal back to American officials, including President Donald Trump. An hour later, Pence called Freeland back and gave the go-ahead for officials in both countries to begin working out the details.

Likewise here in the UK with the supermarket chains.

It is now being reported the set aside hours for seniors to buy essential and necessities before the ravenous hordes clean out the shelves has been expanded to also include pregnant women, those with disabilities, and those who have diagnosed compromised immunity conditions...

War it might be, but it will be a very polite war, which they will wage while apologizing profusely...

...and you didn't quite get that response to the question right; the answer would be "Yes, eh"...

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE. :yeah:

Back from my supermarket which is now two thirds empty! :o

So much for the promises from Supermarket chains, oh just to add its like that every where around here even the small local shops. Restriction on the number of the same item goods looks like is now a fact. People were cracking up and going mad at the shop staff.

Food riots on the way at this rate and toilet paper riots. :03: I have a good comment about the toilet paper and will post that in the other thread.

I was so fed up I coughed out loud and boy you should have seen the looks of...RAGE & FEAR all rolled into one. I smiled at them all. :)

I was hearing people say I read this and that on social media and you know the rot and rubbish and LIES LIES LIES these fools were fooling for.

I found out last night via FB of all places that my daughter was down to her last tin of baby milk and had been searching for the last five days for more without any success.

I rang her and said her mam and I would go to the local supermarket first thing in the morning and she played merry hell about us exposing ourselves in public.

Of all the contacts on FB one who was my wifes ex-apprentice over twenty years ago responded out of the blue an hour later stating she had sourced four tins from personal contacts she knew.

We arrived at the supermarket at 7.30am and I was initially surprised to see people exiting the supermarket with toilet rolls (the supermarket has a restriction of a maximum of three items of the same nature and I wholeheartedly support that position).

We took a trolley each and quickly realised we had just missed the exhaustion of TP stocks by a matter of minutes which was no real issue because between my daughters and our household we have sufficient for now.

We continued shopping and managed to get tinned food, frozen fish and fishfingers, soap, paracetamol, pizzas, coffee etc. etc.

Most importantly though, there was an abundant stock of the precious commodity (to us anyway) of baby milk so we promptly gathered three tins each meaning our granddaughter Lucia should now have enough milk to last until she is on solids.

It has been a good day thus far.

Sounds like you made a good score on the baby milk...

Here, locally, the availability is somewhat hit and miss. What is in short supply in one place can be in stock just a block or two over; there seems to be no rhyme or reason; I have found avoiding the big chains and box stores and, instead, going to the smaller, neighborhood places yields better results; also, the ethnic stores (here that would be Hispanic and Asian) can very often be a good source for the odd commodity. I am somewhat ironically fortunate since my recent health difficulties have instilled a need to stock up as much as possible on a regular basis; following the whatever 'bug' it was that laid me out for over a month, I replenished my stores and have kept them topped off since, so I can weather a fair period of reduced stocks in the markets...

Hope you and yours can continue to weather the times well...

Corona parties thrown by stupid retards may become the reason why a curfew gets enforced in Germany sooner than Merkel expected. There are still those dumbheads who think it is displaying their sociability so cool and relaxed when they hang around in the park with their clique, and who do not see how deeply anti-social they indeed are.

Crack down on these idots NOW.
