Aye, this I like.

Arclight 08-03-09 12:46 PM

Very nice, though I'm not sure I can still live without an autopilot. :rotfl:

Task Force 08-03-09 12:47 PM

autopilot is a nice luxury... :yep:

Oh but there is one! I use it all the time!:salute::rotfl: That and time altering. Me like^^

Arclight 08-04-09 03:35 AM

Ah, that's cheating! Far as I know, those planes didn't even have trim.

I must say I'm pretty interested in it, but I figure you'd really need TrackIR. Just to darn difficult keeping an eye on an enemy in a dogfight without it.

Think one could have a decent experience without TIR? :06:

I know I have. Just use the mouse to look around.

Arclight 08-05-09 04:05 AM

Yeah, I can get away with it in DCS, so why not... :hmmm:

Though in DCS I spend considerable time in a hover; trying to look while flying is a pita.

I'll put it on the "maybe" list, anything on that usually becomes a "definitely" after a month or two anyway. :rotfl:

Hello american... just try to shoot me down...

Schroeder 08-05-09 01:33 PM

Hmmm, the cockpit of the F6 is open which leads to the assumption that the American is already in his "I want to land and ignore everything else" mode.

BTW Your Zero has no markings which is a violation of international law. Even if you should survive the battles at the end you will be hung as a war criminal. But don't let that distract you from your missions to come.:D

Task Force 08-05-09 01:34 PM

I forgot to turn them on... cause I dont want a meatball on the side of my plane...:O:

Did I ever mention how overrated international law is?

Well i have flown alot of aircraft on flight sim over the last 10 years everything from harriers from carriers and F18's to E3 awacs and sea king helo's ive flown fighters tankers transports and passenger jets big and small.

But today i found a little helicopter that is well rather nice to fly.
Ive spent what about 400 hours over 10 years flying helo's thats not alot compaired to well over 15,000 hours in fixed wing aircraft.

So here goes:

This is my MI-8 helicopter boarding at KORD readying up for some training and we also had a duty to observe landings and approaches on vatsim as well which was kind of unusual for me today.

Side view with our main door open obviously we dont have the main 5 blade rotor going have not yet got clearence to start her up.

Frontal view of the MI-8 on the ground shes not a huge helicopter but large (no where near the size of the MI-26) i do want to have a go at trying to fly one of those one day.

Thats me hovering near the fuel storage tanks just off the airport shortly after we had to watch in a 757 from dallas american airlines landed safely and hover taxiied him to the gate.

Oh, are you talking about the picture inside the 109 cockpit? It comes with the modded cockpit over at the place we aren't allowed to talk about
