Hull Numbers needed
 
Not sure if anyone has done this already, but nothing has showed up in my search. Need hull numbers for pre war boats for my pre war mod (see sink below for example) the hull numbers of course were painted over once at war but would like skis for Tambor, Gar, Porpoise, Salmon/Sargo if possible, not sure if S class had numbers painted in same manner or not. So any of our artists out there, if you are willing, would appreciate it. Needs to be compatible with TMO Update BH . (see downloads)

All of the Uboat Hull Art in Dark Waters were edited my me to make them presentable, as well as a couple of flags.
i could do what you want but i need a starting point...something already created that i can use as a basis.

How about...

"Hull Classification Symbols and Numbers Mod" by LukeFF...

that is, if you can find a copy of it to lay hands on... I checked s7rikeback's mod repository for SH4 "small mods" bank.. & no joy there... doesn't mean that he doesn't have a copy gathering dust or... in this case... barnacle & moss growth... :D

Wouldn't hurt to ring s7rikeback's bell & ask 'im... :hmmm:

Just thought of this... :hmmm: that is supposed to be in or is... included in TMO v1.4... so that'd be another place to dig through, as well... :yep:

When I did a... google search, for that... it came up & pointed to TMO v1.4, propbeanie.

I did attempt... a look search for LukeFF subsim search through google.. but did not come up with any huntin' dawgs, pointing to that or to LukeFF, either... :roll:

uh, this is a folder of Submarine.CFG files which include the HULL NUMBERS....in text.
We were looking for the DDS files that show the hull numbers as graphics.

Edit: Oh ratz... I knew that was too easy to find!!! lol - I didn't even bother to look at it. But it is old... lol Hang on, let me dig on my hard drive. I do know I have it, and I got it from cdrsubron7 many many moons ago. He probably got it from aanker or Hitman....

Was it on the KillFlags site maybe? nutz, I can't find it on the wayback machine anymore... I'll have to fire up the old computer in the corner tomorrow and look over there.

Ah yes I should have been a bit more clear lol. I know the hull numbers, but am
looking for the artwork, for paint scheme (as pictured at the link below) with the hull numbers painted in white on the conning tower and bow etc of pre war Tambor, Gar Sargo, Salmon, and S boats if applicable. Of course, will transition to the normal paint scheme, showing the numbers painted over after Pearl Harbor or just before, still trying to ascertain when the numbers were painted over, prior to or just before as writing was on the wall for the opening of hostilities.

Know that, some of the warships sport their #'s on the bow of them... as I recall. Can't tell you what mod or mod set did that... as there has been so many, starting off with the earlier SH4 version's on up... mhmm.. think v1.4 was the last version, as I don't recall seeing any mention of mods for v1.5 of SH4. (Not going to swear to that, 100% :hmmm:)

If those could be located... could possibly use them as a basis for that... would need some editing of the #'s, as well as size of them, then reconfigure their placement parameters to work on their placement on the subs from there... then is just a matter of figuring out when they got removed & having that occur in sim/game at the right time (or as is close to right, as it allows... :doh: knowing that it's not 100% spot on... as is well known, with some of the other issues of occurrences, such as not having access to upgrades rightly, base reassignments going awry... things of that nature...)
