that is the safest route.

the next safest route is to back out all of TMO, delete the entire Savegame folder and all subfolders, then check the JGSME Backup folder. if it is clean, go ahead and load up FOTRSU.

if you think you will be playing different mega-mod for a while, look into using MultiSH4 so you don't have to keep re-installing.
