especially the posts after Dec 24.

mmp* is probably not compatible with betapatch or some other modding files

thx. went thru those threads, had gone thru them before i applied the patch, and didn't find anything that might fix the error. oh well. reinstalling was no prob, but i'll be without any campaigns, just a single SP mission, no patch and no mods as i got an error using jsgme to run the one in the 2nd link.

about the beta patch, not the MMP4. where do the folders go, as it's not an self installer and will it interfere with competed missions?

Check this post to use JSGME to install mods with TvT:

i've used jsgme before with SH III/IV and had the occasional mod caused a prob but it was a simple matter of disabling that particular mod and all was good. dunno what's going on with this one:06:

Read the post carefully :)
When you launch TvT, the game reads script files in ALL the folders inside the main TvT folder, that includes the MODS folder, so the mod files are read even if the mods aren't installed.

So, for example TvT.exe will read the stock "tiger.script" in the game folders, and it will read the modded "tiger.script" in the MODS folder, both files containing some identical "classes", hence the error message "duplicate class" and the crash.

Mods for TvT have to be installed outside of the main folder, which involves a small amount of folder fiddling but the screenshot in the post linked above should clear things up :)

seems to work now....i think. if i got it rights, it's in the lighthouse folder and not the T34vsTiger folder. doesn't seem like anything has changed, tho:hmm2:
