I've always loved the TR series so I'll be giving this a d/l. Really dissapointed with the COD W@W Beta cos it was crap, beats me why they though it was a good idea to use the COD4 engine again, it sucked ass even in COD4. The graphics are terrible. And this whole linear/non-linear stuff really annoys me too, I personally don't give a monkey's toss whether a game is linear or not, if it's good, it's good. In fact in some ways I prefer linear games cos you don't get lost!
Sorry, rant over.:|\\ |
Well I have the TR Underworld, and the gameas simply amazing graphics...I must disagree with some of you as for mea good game with bad graphics is no go, a badgame with good graphics and I am on it!I love graphic and this Tomb Raider is beautyfulll..Check this thread...http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...p?t=147296This is what I think...

Eidos still cranking out sequels
Recent take-over by Square Enix hasn't slowed them down. More sequels aren't always good news, but in the case of Hitman I'm certainly pleased. :yeah:

Ah, goodie. Always anxious to play a new Hitman game. :yeah:
|
Square-Enix took over Eidos? :o
Regular expansionist company isn't it? :hmmm: |
It is Japanese after all. :D ;)

"The next Tomb Raider, I think, will surprise a lot of people and reinvigorate the franchise. There are some remarkable things we're doing in the next Tomb Raider to make you say, "Oh Lara, I love you so much!"
So they're increasing the size of her bust some more, turning her anime looking and including a nude skin? TR Underworld wasn't too bad, not the greatest game but it was still fun while it lasted. |
I don't have the game but, I have the movie.
Hope they make a Hitman II movie. |

Enjoyed Underworld as well, though definitly not a brilliant game. I don't know how much influence Square is going to have on design, but it could mean better developed plot-lines and some more cut-scenes. Not a bad thing imho. *Not much new, except that Thief 4 has been officialy confirmed. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/li...hitman-tomb-r/ |
I generally like the Hitman games but they need to make the puzzle aspect of them less apparent. The game's tout "freedom" to perform the mission how you want. But that's really untrue, given the game still wants you to do the mission its way.
|
You're never forced, as far as I can remember. Poison his drink, shoot him in the face at point blank or put a bullet in his chest from afar, it's all up to you. :hmmm:
|
I agree with CaptHawkeye. While there is multiple ways of killing your target, the different methods are usually just for that mission. If you take out the mission based methods and think what is left, you really only have a) shooting him or b) poisoning him with the syringe. There's no REAL choices, only those that the game gives us for that mission. That sucks.
|
Well, the levels are fairly small, so freedom of movement is rather restricted. I agree there's only a limited set of possibilities, but you're free to choose which course of action to take.
Hitman was always a console game, maybe now with the next-gen ones with increased capabilities we'll see some expanded level designs. |
Lara Croft loses the guns, curves, braid in new "Tomb Raider"
I never played any of this previous...but perhaps would have done
