Hi Guys
The "Program Files Folder is used for 64 bit applications and programs.
All Silent Hunter games are 32 bit.
The Program and Program Files (x86) folders are both restricted directories.
The game needs to be re-installed not using either of these directories

Ya know what I just thought of, is the disk... With my original SH4 game v1.1xxx (.01??), the disk had to be inserted to play the game. When you go to apply the SH4 v1.4 patch you might be required to have the disk inserted... ?? :hmmm:

I uninstalled and rebooted. The game is in its own “game” location...not program files. 1.4 will still not open. Tried everything you guys have said so far...still saying same thing. It’s a 220 MB file...so I assume that’s correct. Tried “troubleshooting” and running it as service pack 2. Always says same thing. Big Red bar”this app has been blocked for your protection “ then “an admin has blocked you from running this app, for more info contact admin”. 🤷‍♂️

Ok...so it’s definitely a Windows 10 issue. I installed the game on a older laptop that’s slow as heck, with windows 7...downloaded the patch before I ran the game and it opened right up and took. Now to get it on my nice rig....
