Russian attack submarine sailed in Gulf of Mexico undetected for weeks

Well there ya go. 20+ years since the Soviet Union's collapse and Crazy Ivan still comes over here to tilt someone elses' democracy. Romney & Co. have some fresh political ammo. The 97 lb. weakling in the Oval Office can't do anything about this. |
Wouldn't be the first time, even with Reagans financial backing Ivan still snuck through from time to time.
Heck, the Russians have been playing chicken with our airspace lately too, most likely our waters too, that's just how the game is played, it's not as if there isn't a significant portion of the US and UK submarine fleet sitting in Russian waters... |
Are we even watching for subs anymore?
|
Don't tell me your subs don't go where they please these days, too :D
|
Surley this didn't really happen. We have the best Navy in the world.
Surely this is just a poker game move to put one up on the US. I say claim the Gulf of Mexico giving Mexico patrol planes for subs (Russian or druggie subs) and reinstate sous (which I heard was abandoned years ago) and while we are at it claim the entire Gulf of Alaska as off limits to subs. Live and learn I always say ... :yep: http://www.examiner.com/article/russ...eknownst-to-us Quote:
