Solved: Dials and Illumination in german uboats

I dived into recreating historically correct dials and did a lot of recherche on that. But on all pics i found there is no light in the dials, but really bright lighting from the bulbs. So, have there been dials with emission? I believe some dials had a light in the background. But which ones and how was the light emitted, at which points? "Das Boot" and all existing Subsim Games seem not to be a good reference for that topic.

Another source says, there was no active light in the background of the gauges, but some where coated with fluorescent radium color.

Anyone? Help on that is really appreciated!

Finally found a good reference. As to this US-study from the type IXC 1945 it is as followed:

No meter (also the receivers in the enginge rooms) had illumination, except the dials for Rudder, Planes, Machinetelegraph and the TDC in the Conning Tower and Bridge. All instruments where coated with long life flourescent radium color.

No info on the meters from the electric engine. But i think they had illumination.
