I think it's such a shame that IL-2 doesn't have the Mk1 Spitfire. I think they're more interesting in their early stages.

If you go to the "Dark Side" and have mods there is a Spitfire Mk1 available and it IS damn good and well balanced too!

Limped back to base with Fritz and his two wingmen in hot pursuit, but the anti-aircraft guns scared em away when they got close to the airfield. All patched up and ready for payback.

Ok. I gotta ask. Whats this "dark side"? Im hurting for a good flight sim. I have IL2 46, and got FSX, but Im getting bored of IL2, and I can only take off from home and fly for 5 hours so many times in a row.

The 'Dark side' everyone is talking about is the mods. The mods are made available by the community by hacking the IL2's .exe, that's why the discussion is sightly restricted here at SubSim. You can find the mod discussion thread from here. Just dont post any links to mods or modding sites, and you're fine. :)

Yea, Il2 gets old without mods.:yep: I myself perfer the *beep* and *beep* mods.:lol:
