Wow.... Those ROF shots are amazing... looking at their site I soo need an upgrade... (stupid single core, I can't buy anything these days...)
I just added the DCG to IL2: 1946, where do I get those Africa campaigns that are shown in some of the Screenies? I only see a vs Italians one on that site. |
DCG comes with 2 Afrika campaigns:
Tobruk 41 Tobruk 43 the best way to use DCG is by enabling the option to let DCG take over ''DGEN'' and ''NGEN'' so the campaigns will appear in the game itself. HunterICX |
Okay, thanks...
The 109 and I never did get along... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a28/Shaffer4/NLWM.jpg |
Sweet, though starting the Tobruk '41 campaign as the RAF didn't go so well...
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a28...rtCampaign.jpg I panicked and bailed before I check the damage, I may have been able to pull that out... But I erred on the side of caution... and was captured... |
Started a Mareth Line Campaign for the RAF...
My pilot's dossier after 4 missions... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a28.../PWcareer1.jpg First Time out, the Big Heinkel tickled my nose, pilot wounded, though didn't require any down time... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a28/Shaffer4/PTW01.jpg |

IIJG53 mission action November 15 1943 north of Leningrad. Our mission was to interdict a Soviet column that was planning to cross the frozen sea to retake Kronenstadt:
The column was split into two sections. My wingman and I took the rear of the column whilst the other pair in our section took the lead column. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0000-5.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0001-7.jpg I managed a close enough hit to take out 6 vehicles: http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0002-6.jpg A bunch of Yak's were then see headed our way after we avoided some heavy flak coming from Leningrad: http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0003-7.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0004-7.jpg We made short work of them but we were engaged by some P-39's http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0005-6.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0006-5.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...grab0007-4.jpg They didn't last long either. Once finished there we headed for home. |
Nice of you to use your Nav lights so the Rooskis could see you better! (j/k). Nice shots.
|
The shots are from a co-op mission flown by IIJG53: http://iijg53.com/
The Nav lights are so we don't shoot one another down so they have a real purpose. In IL-2 AI can't see so lights camo etc don't make any difference to them but when you have up to 12 pilots in the air all on the one side it makes it easier to work out who to shoot and who not to. If you are interested the Aussie schwarm normally flies on Sunday nights at about 8pm AEST. |
Cheers Tarjak - good explanation! Thanks for the invite - I don't fly IL-2 much (though I have 1946). Do you use any mods, and what version are you flying with?
|
We use 1946 with a specially created mod pack for the squadron. Check out the site I linked above which covers all the details.

I finally met a Dolphin! And....eh...I gave him a warm reception:D
