Two culprits come to my mind: 1. there is either something trying to spawn near your current position at that time, OR - 2. if you are listening to a radio station in the game, there is an event that is causing the crash. Could be something else, but you have an exact time and date...

Sh3, unlike SH4... does NOT have radio available.
There is NO radio to listen to, as there is in 4.

No, that is not necessary. The Onealex mod is playable out of the box.

Hello everybody. As promised, I share my modpack. The game is made for my taste, to my preferences. Therefore, I am ready to accept criticism / suggestions, but only towards realism, not arcade. Feedback is welcome. The game will be updated as I have time.
Known issues / bugs:
1 Visual damage of ships at some angle of view by the camera does not reflect correctly from the water.
2 It is better not to use large time accelerations in areas where there are many events. The game may crash.
Approximate system requirements for a normal game (maybe less, tested the assembly on a powerful computer):
1 Sixth-generation I5 / I7 processor or higher, or its AMD equivalent.
2 RAM 8GB and above.
3 Video card Ge Force 10xx series and higher, or its AMD equivalent.
User must have license copy of Silent Hunter 3.
Game installation:
1. Unpack the archive.
2. Set Windows 7 compatibility for SH3.exe, JSGME.exe, SH3Cmdr.exe and choose run these programs as administrator.
3. Launch the game using the SH3.exe shortcut to create a save folder.
If you already have another version of SH3 on your computer then you need to use the MultiSH3 program, which will make a separate save folder for GWX Onealex Edition (instruction for using the program is in the Documentation folder).
4. Set English language, German speech and English keyboard in game parameters.
5. Exit the game.
6. Activate mods at will.
7. Start SH3 Commander.
8. Check "Rollback automatically after exiting SH3", as well as select the necessary options for the game.
9. Launch the game by clicking on Launch SH3! (blue tick).
10. Play.
In the future, run the game only via SH Commander.
All Realism and Gameplay related hardcode fixes mods from H.sie are activated in the game at my discretion. If someone needs to patch the exe file by on his own way, then all the information is in the Support folder, at the root folder of the game.
When the radars and other sensors of the second half of the war become available in the game, then you need to activate the Late sensors compilation mod so that the sensor is in the right place.
From November 1944, an available snorkel radar detector will become available. You can install it by activating the GWX mod - Late War Sensors Snorkel Antennas, when the boat is on the base. Nothing more is needed except the snorkel itself. If there is a snorkel and the Late War Sensors Snorkel Antennas mod is activated, then after loading the campaign everything will be in its place.
List of mods:
1-3. Skin anti-sonic coating "Alberich" for boats of types VIIC / 41, VIIC and XXI after it has already been installed on the boat.
4. Das Boot music - music from the movie "Das Boot" on the main menu.
5. Frozen harbors by Onealex - winter view of bases and ports at the appropriate time of the year.
6-8. Separate GWX campaigns for the Black Sea, Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea.
9. Late sensors compilation - general mod for correct displaying of antennas in the later period of the war.
10. Music For YouTube - a mod for streamers, so that YouTube does not swear at music in the main menu.
11. Late war sensors snorkel antennas - mod for correct displaying of antennas installed on the snorkel in the later period of the war - from November 1944 (from GWX).
12. Negative buoyancy - giving a submerged boat a slight negative buoyancy. The fact is that a boat in a submerged position can be adjusted even without moving, but in this case, the effect of waves will push it off the desired course. The SH3 engine cannot simulate this, so a slight negative buoyancy can be chosen to force the commander to fire only when there is at least 1-1.5 knot travel.
13. New water (Arctic) - northern environment mod. Activate in Norwegian bases.
14. New water (Atlantic) - improved view of ocean water, as close as possible to what the water of the Atlantic Ocean looks like.
15. No U-mark - removes the orange mark with an arrow, when viewed from the general camera of events, showing an insufficiently experienced commander the place of his submerged boat.
16-38. Exteriors (skins) of various types of boats.
39 - U-Boat IXC 40 - 3d model of boat IXC 40 (activate if this boat is obtained in the game).
40 - U-Boat VIIC 41 - 3d model of boat VIIC 41 (activate if this boat is obtained in the game).
41. Units without ponytails - canceling the displaying of "tails" for the marks of ships and planes on the map.
42. Widescreen MaGui modified (1360 X 768) - interface for monitors with a screen resolution of 1360 X 768.

Be sure you have uninstalled the old version before installing the new version of the game!
I also recommend to read radiograms. Every year there are radiograms that guide the player at real events in the game! Do not miss, it will be interesting!

That is wrong, correct way to install Onealex compilation mod:
1. Open the "GWX Onealex Edition 1.52.7z" file that you have just downloaded, inside unzip the SH3 folder directly into C: / drive but NOT in your program files
2. Once unzipped, you can rename the SH3 folder to another name of your choice. (if you rename it GWXONE for example, do it now but not after the game has been launched)
3. Then you enter the folder and right click on the sh3.exe file go to properties and choose windows 7 compatibility and open as administrator, do the same for the SH3Commander.exe and jsgme.exe
4. Launch the game from sh3.exe, go to options and choose: english text/german voice/english keyboard and exit the game, this will create a SH3 folder in your documents folder
5. Finally launch the game from the "SH3 Commander Eng" folder by launching the SH3Cmdr.exe file and selecting single mission, (this will create a sample career named 'player' that you will never use) once in game exit to desktop and now you can start your careers normally, always launch through SH3Cmdr.exe.
If you want to uninstall the game then you need to remove the SH3 folder in C:/ and the documents folder created with it, in case you install it at a later date or update to a newer version. (edited)
You don't need the sh3 game installed already, GWX onealex unlike other mega mods comes with the game built in

Hi,
I'm having problems launching this mod.
First let me say that I have the SH3 version from steam and that one works fine with no errors.
So, I did the following steps:
1. Downloaded GWX Onealex Edition 1.52.7z
2. Extracted it to my C drive. So the path was C:\SH3. (NO, I did NOT extract it on top of my existing steam SH3 path. The Onealex is extracted to it's own separate folder)
3. I then ran MultiSH3.exe as per the instructions to ensure the save games are not conflicted.
4. I went and set all of SH3.exe, JSGME.exe and SH3Cmdr.exe to run in Win7 compatibiulity and as administrator.
And here is where the problem started. The installation instructions told me to "Launch the game using the SH3.exe shortcut to create a save folder."
However when I launch the SH3.exe file (the one in the onealex path at C:\SH3 - NOT the steam version) both intro movies play fine, but after the 2nd intro movie the following prompt appears: https://i.ibb.co/7nd7MXc/Snapshot1-002.jpg
I have no idea how/why this happens, as this will not occur when I'm using my vanilla steam version. So whatever it is, it must be with the way the Onealex mod is set up, because otherwise my system is perfectly capable of running SH3.

Hello! A sporadic SH3 player here. I've tried the GWX OneAlex mod and have 2 questions:
- each time after pressing M key (for radio messages) I get a new radio message that my request for a new patrol area has been received and is being reviewed. After a couple of hours I receive a message that the request has been denied (if not yet 24h on current PQ location) or approved (with new coordinates).
- when I start a new 1939 campaign in august, I can choose 3 flotillas. I've tried 2nd and 7th Flotillas, none had a training mission near Bornholm. The mission briefing states that I should proceed with my training mission and return to base by august 7th, but there is no such mission
Are these normal behaviours for this mod? I've installed per instructions and am a bit puzzled now. Any insight welcome!

A kind soul suggested to me via PM to lower my refresh rate.
Unfortunately, I already tried doing that (I found this suggestion previously made by someone some time ago) but did not get the issue resolved.

Yeah same I think it has to do with this version of the mod, since it never did that before

I cannot load a single savegame. Every time I start a new career, it loads and plays fine but as soon as I save, exit the game and then try and reload that save, it always CTD at about 95% loaded - without fail.
