Silent hunter 1 manual TDC help

Hey team I need help using the silent hunter 1 TDC in manual mode. I set the Relative and bearing angles, determine (guesstimate) range and speed of target but the gyro angles do not change. I thought this was the job of the TDC, to calculate gyro angles from your observations? Think I’m missing something!

Anywho, great game but hitting targets is very easy with auto TDC, I just want to spice it up.

Thanks

This is explained in page 31 of the manual "Automatic vs. Manual" , first you must switch the knob to manual TDC or it will play in auto, then after locking target at least once you must use the different dials to enter values manually while the TDC continues in the background to calculate a firing solution.

Cheers XenonSurf, didn’t realise you had to lock a target first, for the TDC to be used in manual mode. I thought that locking a target was just for automatic targeting.

Hello to those who still might play SH1 / SHCE

I have found on the web one article detailing use of the TDC in manual mode which a sometimes try out for challenge. This gives tactics for finding range, course and speed.

I know this is a very old game and I can't think but imagine that the sub has almost reached crush depth, looking at all those web pages and communities that are now gone. But anyways here is the link https://web.archive.org/web/20081205....com/range.htm

Untill the last dive my friends :Kaleun_Salute:

All this will disapear from the face of the earth some day...
