Well, i finally got my KV! What a Brute, played my first game with the turret and 107mm upgrade, 1-shotting things is fun:

Aye the 107mm really knocks their socks off :D
love to take out them lights who are speeding to exploit our SPG's position....tracking them with my scope and then BOOM!
I'm about 1/3 of the way to unlock the KV-3 research then the long grind to the IS.

Thanks, yea i've been modding the garage and all my most-played vehicles.
The KV, when i got it i played with it as stock straight away and made the stupid mistake of thinking i can start mixing it with tier 5 and up! Ha! Yea right. So i ground xp with my daily doubles and the rest with my Marder 2. Didn't take long for the 107mm gun to appear!
Has anyone got the T29? (US).
That will be the next tech line i will take. The T29 i've seen in the game kicks butt. Looks to be a good solid performer.
What's the major difference between the T-34 and the T-34-85?
The T-34-85 is the other 'to keep' tank i want to get.

The size of the gun that can be mounted on it :cool:

Well, after the first 2 games with upgraded KV, didn't i come down with a thud. Being matched up the next 3 games with tier 8 and 9's! Needless to say, i didn't fair too well. IS's, Loewe's, T30's, i was either towards the bottom half of the rung, and in fact 1 game second-last.
But, when i see other KV players that do this:

Only thing good about the T 29 is its turret. other than that, your tier 8/9 chow.

I know the feeling but I must say I don't do so bad in those high tier matches with my KV...I'm not a beast but I can be a pest :arrgh!:
shooting them to their sides and rear is going to be your best bet to do at least some damage to them and stick with you bigger teammates so you at least last a while.

heck I can penetrate a löwe and that puts that overbloated premium junk in it's place HA! :haha:

stupid actually the Turret doesn't provide you any advantage (no extra armor or visibility range) over the old one...it does however provide the enemy a nice place to pop shots at and they do hurt!

I'm still upgrading my T-54. Got the turret today. Planning to get the top gun within a week or at the longest 2.


T-54 is a fun tank. In fact it's the most fun tank I have ever played.

The stock is a pain to play but right now I''m only missing the gun and suspension. Being thrown in with tier 9s and 10s with only a tier 7 gun is painful but it's already beginning to be a fun tank. I am convinced with the top gun it would be much better.

I know what you mean about matchmaking, although you are lucky there is only a 2 tier gap.
With me and the KV, it's a case of tier 5 (me) against tier 8's and 9's! Not pleasant let me tell you.
BTW got my 107mm and just got the 152mm which i'm trying out for fun and giggles.
1-shotting tier 5 and 6's, with some good and big critical hits on the tier 7 and 8's.

Well the KV is a tier 5 tank and arguably the strongest tier 5 tank.

Tier 5 tank will always make money no matter how you play the game.

So it is a fun tank which doesn't burden you with credit losses.

of course if you are trying to farm credits it may hurt a bit when you're making only a few k if you happen to play bad.


However playing tier 8 and above the stakes are high especially if you're playing with standard account which means half credit income and half XP.
The credit losses could amount to 20k for a bad game after repair and ammo.

So thus tier 8 and above is only fun when you're playing well and often that depends on your team mates and luck while tier 5 KV is always a fun tank to play.

You know what really annoys me ?
It's not the game but some of the players.

I bought the Lowe and the Churchill and I am finding that while waiting for the game start I get all sorts of abuse for playing with those tanks. (the Lowe more so)

'Wallet Warrior' I was called and worse.In fact yesterday I just quit the game.

Maybe I need to be less sensitive but these guys p**s me off.

I personally do not mind wallet warrior as hey it's their money and indeed premium tanks are good credit farmers.

One thing I understand is Lowe and KV-5 being premium tanks are a high tier tanks(tier 8) and they are very popular(well sold) which means now high tier matches are populated with many many Lowes especially.

Now high tier tanks are expected to contribute a significant portion to the team winning chance but because small number of players can't play them properly you get a lot of flaming on the whole Lowe players partly too because of the envy I'd assume.

I'd never call a Lowe player a wallet warrior nor do I hate them. However I do notice there's now a significant proliferation of Lowe tanks in every match which makes matches generally more difficult for non premium high tier tanks since Lowe is a tough one.

But it is also true that there are a lot of nasty people in WoT. Too many broken people in society.

Or morons calling people noobs when they have 0 kills!
Some clown called me that just b4 the end of the match when i got shafted, i had 3 kills with Marder 2.
