B-1B Strike into Pyongyang with FS2004

I've decided that if our real guys won't do it....I'll do it... :D Purely for fun, I'm flying my B-1B from Seoul to Pyongyang and back. I'll document this in screenshots. Sadly, there are no weapons in FS2004 so it'll all be pretend. Most of the flying will be done by the Autopilot and the Course/Speed holder. I did program in random failures though...so we'll see how this goes.

You have clearance Clarence... Roger, Roger. What's our vector Victor?

Phew. For a second there I thought we'd continued the war.

Haha! I am.... I don't know if the USAF will follow my example or not... :D

Here's the other half of the flight. It was a shorter flight than I had thought. :hmmm: I got a bit off course though cause my instruments failed. I finally got back home though.

Drop the weapon! Time to haul ass back to South Korea!

WAVE OFF?! WHAT?! Who's Airliner is more important than a Nuclear Strike Bomber. (Thank God they held the traffic after this idiot took off)

Finally on the ground again... I'll call this one a success.

In case you couldn't tell, I love the virtual cockpit on this thing. I love flying the B-1B. I even do most of it without external views. It was a great freeware plane... Pyongyang does not exist as it once did anymore...Now I have to think of a new mission to fly... I'm open to suggestions.

I had Bones as my alarm call for a few weeks in Thumrait as they went off to pound Tora Bora. Without a doubt this is the noisiest aircraft I've heard - and that list includes the VC-10 that is banned from most of the world's airports due to the noise!

Still not as evocative as the Vulcan though. :D

I always liked the B-1 Bombers. They're just cool...

I always recognized the Vulcan because of Thunderball... It's a cool plane too...but I like the B-1 better.

Bones?

Overkill! This is the DPRK, you don't need Bones!

That's more like the technological level you need to fight the DPRK

Just switching the intercoolers up from cold to hot to bring the carbs back from minus celsius temps and then the inevitable occurred...

I can't decide where to go next...

I don't know if I want to do a Vietnam thing with my A6E or another nuclear strike mission...Maybe from Taiwan to Beijing or something.

I've flown Huey missions over 'Nam...I've pretended to hunt subs in the North Sea with a German Navy Mk 41 Mod 0...I've transported troops out of Bagram in a UH-60......

I need a mission to fly... :hmm2:

Red October1984 04-25-13 10:41 PM

I've decided to take my trusty B-1 from Wiesbaden AAF to Tegel, Berlin.

I'll take a couple screenshots....They'll be in my next post.

I didn't see you blowing up Pyongyang. Where's the explosion?

FS2004 doesn't have weapons modeled or any destructable objects....sadly... Most of this game for me is pretending that you're doing something while the game doesn't model it. I'm uploading my Wiesbaden-Berlin screenshots right now but I might not post them until tomorrow. :hmmm:

Up and over Germany like a boss

That right there is the city of Berlin

There we have Tegel Airport. I'm cleared for runway 8R.

All that extremely long range stuff? Nah....

I'm just getting good at shorter range. I just flew an F-14B across Iceland from Reykjavik to Keflavik in heavy snow...at night...

That wasn't as fun... :dead:
