My little Independence Day jaunt...
To properly celebrate Independence Day, I decided to take a B-17 back to its makers for a service, after all, it was only 64 years overdue...
En route to Boeing Field, Seattle at 30,000 feet, good job the heater still works... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...t30000feet.jpg Passing over Boeing Field... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...oeingfield.jpg Turning over Mount St Helens to head back for a very long final descent into Boeing Field... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...MtStHelens.jpg Landing lights on a bit early, but what the hell... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...htsblazing.jpg Mmmmm... Nice sunset... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...nthesunset.jpg Messing about with the engines on the descent... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...sunsetshot.jpg Boeing Field just coming in sight, between the two other airports... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...verSeattle.jpg Lined up nicely, none of that ILS bollox on this thing, right on the money at 110mphhttp://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...elylinedup.jpg Looking good... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...shortfinal.jpg Touchdown, 64 years after it last did it at the same airstrip... http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...oeingfield.jpg |

CF3 Battle of Britain 1940 and we are in a very, very bad situation here. Germany has invaded England, London is lost and the front line is in the Midlands. Looks like my wingmen and I may be heading toward the Irish and sit it out. :damn:

Hello Choke,
Love those B-17 Mighty 8th pics. Brings back some very good memories indeed :yep: for the past 2 days, I figured out how to get Over Flanders Field working and it looks great. Though for some reason I seem to be missing some Non-Critical skins, even after downloading and installing that huge Skin patch. |
:damn: stop stop stop those B17's!!!!!
I hate them now as I cant fly them myself. So I will shoot them down from now on! prepare the J8A we are going to 10,000 meters!:88) |
Great B17 II pics, Chock!! I love the B17 II and also the oooold B17 I. Great games!

Btw, Chock. That aint the Brest Uboat base, right? But the Brest harbor. Isnt the two separate in B17 II? As I remember having the uboat base as secondary target. ;)
|
Yup, it aint the U-Boat Pens, and even if it had been the U-Boat Pens, those bombs probably wouldn't have damamged the subs in real life.
:D Chock |
Cool shots!
But I stick with my PMDG 747-400 Johan (old PSS member) |
