Balkans on Fire

Is this tank sim worth the money. I have flight sims(IL21946,Lock-On) and subsims(SH3,SH4) but no tank sim. SBP is way too expensive right now, but I've checked this out on a couple of sites, looks cool, but is it worth it. Hows campaign, hows the learning curve, etc. Any info appreciated. I was looking at Dangerous Waters but my interest is kinda low for that. I want a different simulation, and tanking looks very interesting. P.S. I also have a few racing sims(GTLegends,GTR2,Rfactor) so I'm familiar with simulations.

I think most people that have tried Balkans on fire and SB Pro PE would say, do skip Balkans on fire. If you like flight, sub and racing simulations you will love what SB Pro can do with armoured combat.
Lets say you buy Balkans cheap, and find out that you really like playing with tanks, then I would guess you will want to move on to something really good (my brief experience with Balkans told me to not touch it at all, in fact it was quite dissapointing as a sim). In that case you will again cast your eyes on SB Pro. So save yourself some money and go for the best at once.
If, which is unlikely, you don't like it, the second hand price you could sell SB Pro for is very good, unlike many other games were you wasted your money on a half assed product, which no one want to buy from you.

You could also wait for the wII tank game Steel fury, for which there is a demo out now.

Cheers Porphy

I,ve heard of Steel Fury, is there any release date for it. I'll try the demo though. As for Balkans, I did a google search, most discouraging, so I'll take your advise and skip it. Thanks

We all know the drill on this one by now! ;)

I downloaded Steel Fury yesterday and it really looks like it's going to be a really involved game. Holy crap there are alot of controls, but I like harder sims otherwise whats the point.
