The battle for Peleliu is raging at the moment. It seems we wiped out any japanese air resistance in the first few days. Nowadays the escort missions is a real cakewalk, especially since the japs don't have any high altitude flak on the islands. (This is not my plane taking off, I do air-start, I can't stand the Carriers...)

I myself find takeing off from a carrier and landing on a carrier kind of fun. (and after 43 missions easy.)

Oh, try landing an FM-2 on a CVE doing flank speed before you say something is easy

Starting to get the hang of flying the Shark. Got a bit too ambitious today though. After taking out some armour I decided to move closer. Got a nice hover position.

Did some infantry guys with the cannon, then BAM! Something hit me from nowhere. SAM launched right in my face.... Busted windshield, alarms going of everywhere inside and pieces of the helo is coming of... Still flying though,but.... :-?

Things turned out ugly. Blood splatters in cockpit and I'm going down... no control. Pilot was obviously dead or unconscious as the outside view was the only one available.
The Shark start to move out of control and crashes... another day at work with the Black Shark sim. :)
