Falklands Sub Warfare article and book

Interesting article on the British subs chasing the Argentine carrier de Mayo

Quote:

The ensuing nine-day game of cat-and-mouse between British submarines and the anti-submarine aircraft onboard the Veinticinco is recounted in A Carrier at Risk by Mariano Sciaroni, who compares interviews with Argentine sources with Reports of Proceedings filed by British submariners to shed new light on a formerly obscure subject.

Based on years of research, including extensive investigation into naval operations of both sides of the conflict, A Carrier at Risk is a vibrant and lucid account of a week-long cat-and-mouse game between antisubmarine warfare specialists on board ARA 25 de Mayo, and multiple nuclear attack submarines of the Royal Navy: an entirely unknown, yet crucial aspect of the South Atlantic War.

I’ve not read the book but it’s in the list

With links like national interest and war history online I take them with a pinch of salt a lot of the articles are poorly written by people who don’t know the subject matter and are pushed out to make a profit or click bait

But as for your post very well laid out and presented it’s another one for my list
