The wife brought a case of this in last week because of a special offer and whilst it took some getting used to initially, I reckon I would give it a second chance and especially if she was paying :)

The origin is Adnams Brewery, Southwold, Suffolk and the product information is as follows...

White IPA:
This beer combines the pine and citrus flavours of an American IPA with the bright orange notes of a Belgian witbier to create a wonderfully fresh-tasting beer.
About this bottle: This White IPA was brewed at the Adnams Brewery in Suffolk.
Country of origin: Region: Suffolk

SIC transit solar gloria!

On August 21, 2017, millions of people across the United States will see nature's most wondrous spectacle — a total eclipse of the Sun. It is a scene of unimaginable beauty; the Moon completely blocks the Sun, https://media2.giphy.com/media/6xZZO....gif#102-grid1 daytime becomes a deep twilight, and the Sun’s corona shimmers in the darkened sky. This is your brew-swyllyr's guide to understand, prepare for, and view this beautiful celestial event: the Sun's Corona viewable with the naked eye!(actually B sure 2 wear proper shades BBY:subsim:>https://static1.squarespace.com/stat...pg?format=500w https://static1.squarespace.com/stat...g?format=1000w Even my inlaws will fire up their POSH caravan for a 1550 mile journey from Virginia to mid-Nebraska for this! I, on the other hand, will avoid all transit-of-the sun hassles and view a few Corona's of my own: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...rona-extra.jpg

Son, daughter and future son-in-law are round tonight for a meal to celebrate the son returning home and I've no objection to them having access to my drinks cabinet or cans of beer chilling in the fridge but tonight, the garage is off bounds, my case of twelve of these beauties are mine, all mine.

Do ya'll just stick to beer only? I am alarmed at the selection of hard drinks in cans and bottles available at the local grocery store. I think it's sending the wrong message to the under 21 population. I know a certain percentage can't wait and have already seduced someone into purchasing these easy to find items ahead of their 21st birthday. :yep:

Never fear.... as every red-blooded Brit and Aussie knows, nothing can harm you when you've got your beer-goggles on :yeah:

£1.99 at the Co-op. I'll leave the write-up until I've tried it tomorrow night (I have to drive in the morning)

^ Tis an excellent brew and one I occasionally keep for special occasions.

McEwan's CHAMPION

I sank one an hour ago (got another in the kitchen) and it's a rich, malty and dark beer. Tiny bit heavy for me and would be best just supped... I was thirsty after a hot day in Lincoln, so maybe drank it too fast. I didn't get double-vision like I hoped, but it's a big-tasting beer to be reckoned with. I think a lighter ale is best if you're thirsty.

I should have reviewed it after drinking the second pint

End of a working week tonight and this little beauty is on the menu.

A powerfully authentic IPA, Proper Job is brewed with a blend of imported American hops. It is a real treat of a beer with a growing reputation and loved by beer enthusiasts far and wide.
The above and another are resting in the garage but I've already tried the other so this is my choice for tonight.

Eichhörnchen 07-09-17 01:29 PM

I just asked Moira to look out for that
