Yep, I cant even think of going back to the stock campaigns where there's usually max. of 20 planes total in the air. ;) Gives nice confusion and fear to see 30+ bombers flying towards you in one formation with escorts flying overhead. :yep:

Kptlt. Neuerburg 03-24-08 11:49 AM

Well I think I'll try it out!!

A quick very early WIP of my newest creation:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/e...t/P51Me262.jpg

There's an actual story behind the shot. On October 7th 1944, 2nd Lt. Urban Drew was just about to have a drink of Bourbon with his squadron mate, Billy Kemp after they both were grounded for doing victory roll over their squadron's airfield in the end of their last sortie when Squadron Commander came in to tell them they are going up again.

"Put the bottle away" he said, because we're going on a mission to Brux, Czechoslovakia. There are Me 262s operating in the area, and you know more about them than anybody in this squadron. So, you're leading the mission."

During the mission, they flew over the German airfield at Achmer and spotted two Me262s lined up, ready to take off. Drew dived immediatly after the 262s, managing to critically hit the 2nd 262, causing it to explode in the runway. The 1st one tried to climb away and was an easy prey for the Urban Drew's 'Detroit Miss'.

Just this stupid Photoshop keeps crashing on me. :damn:

EDIT: New WIP. 262 added, shell casings, and got rid of the cars and stuff.

Hey Tater,

just so I know which flight Sim to get next, are those shots all from 1946 :o

I have not flown in IL2 in a long time but I might just try 1946.

I've spent some time in OFF and enjoyed it a lot but it might be nice to get back to WW2 once in a while.:hmm:

tater 03-26-08 12:59 AM

Yeah, Il-2 1946. Not that I've ever flown any of the "1946" aircraft, lol.
