Need help on campaign 'Battle Of The Mediterranean' objectives

Hello.
I've just finished the campaign 'Mare Nostrum' and now I start the campaign 'Battle Of The Mediterranean'. However I get stick and don't get how to complete the objectives. There are 3 objectives at the beginning: 'Rommel's Supplies', 'Fortress Gibraltar' and 'Siege Of Malta'.

For 'Siege Of Malta', it required sink 100000 tons of supplies for Malta, so I went to the port of Malta and sink the merchants, but not count to mission at all.

For 'Fortress Gibraltar', it required sink 1 AC and sink 5 Force H destroyers, then I went to the port of Gibraltar and sink some warships, no progress to mission too.

For 'Rommel's Supplies', it said 500000 tons of supplies must reach Lybian bases, I guess is to protect the friendly merchants to reach Lybyen ports, am I right?

Have someone completed any of the above objectives? Would you like to explain how to complete?

Thanks so much!

Can anyone help me? Thank you! :)

Sinking stuff in port does NOT count toward fulfilling the requirements for Campaign success. You have to knock out units underway in your particular mission area and/or knock out specific unit TYPES (battleship, carrier, "5 troop ships," for example) and/or knock out specific types OF specific types, such as Heavy Freighters DEDICATED - and showing separately in the Recognition Manual - to the tranport of War Supplies, etc.

WHEW! In short, if it ain't in your specific patrol area or if it's in port, it doesn't count.

Thank you, I'll try to sink the ships in the specific patrol area, hope this will count to the requirements.

For what I did in the previous campaign, I did not follow where I was ordered to patrol for sink enemies, but the game counted. But when I start this campaign, it doesn't anymore, or maybe I've sink the wrong target? Does anyone who have completed this campaign can explain how they did it? Thanks!

I completed it. Here's my advice: DON'T DO THIS CAMPAIGN!! It is boring and the objectives are soooo tedious, and so it's not fun at all. :nope:

Not entirely true. In some campaign you can sink sitting merchant ships in harbors.(happy times, for malta supplies). In some it doesn't matter if they are in harbor, what it counts is if they are on the move or not. I give you an example. In happy times campaign I was looking for the two carriers. I didn't find them in H or A or whatever task forces roaming the map, but i found one sitting in Gibraltar. It didn't count when I sunk it, but...I found , everytime I was reloading the same save (which is odd I admit that), one or even two carriers ON THE MOVE getting out from the harbor (they were IN harbor) with escort out in the open sea and it count when I sunk them IN THE HARBOR. Though I'm not sure this was supposed to be that way in developers' minds or it's just a bug. However I saw carrier task forces getting out from Gibraltar and disappeared in front of my eyse , just like that, which is lame and says a lot about the seriousity of developers and UBISOFT, in general.

PS - regarding the happy times campaign I found it stupid that you could sink merchant ships in Malta harbor and it counted but you couldn't sink in Gibraltar! The natural thread of campaign story hints that FROM gibraltar TO malta the ..supplies are travelling ;) so it's pretty lame and somehow ilogic. The developers didn't have a sense of logic or they forgot about things should used to be.

2 of 3 !

Search for task force with 9 kn speed!

Hi, I just catch 2 of 3 british subs! 07 febr 1942, 11º38 E 40º 11 N!
They travel with 11 Knots SUBMERGED :damn:- SO, AFTER I make a save (outsaide of visual range) I try to get closer - but no chance!

Advices: dont try to shoot them with torpedo! no chance! I try salvo, individual shoot, no results! Worst, they dive! So, just re-load the save and:

first - deep to periscope, get the direction with sonar man, then surface with full diesel speed. Big surprise for me, they just get again on periscope deep and I have a visual contact with them in 2000 m range.
I run to the deck gun and I start shooting, and strange, they dont dive!
So, after 20-25 round, I manege to destroy the 1º one!

Strange again, the second one was in oposite direction STILL on periscope deep, so I just start fire on them; I manage to get 5-6 from 25-30 with piercing rounds and, for my great satisfaction, the kills count in the mission. :D

Update: I got the last one 14 march 42 in 11º54E and 37 º 16 N - on surface, allready engaged by italian aircrafts. I start shooting verry fast with armour piercing rounds, before the aircrafts kill him! I was with chance, and kill him after 45-50 rounds from 3000 m! (just 5-6 really caugh him!)
So, until now, I can take the siege of malta with a lot of time - 5 months.
I hope this will help.:salute:
