Hi Akula, welcome to the boards, Unfortunatly i think the Xmodels are not easy to install currently. A new version bundled with DWX is in the making but wont be seen before the official patch.
(Note if i am wrong on this or someone has a 'easy way to install them please let us know :yep: ) |
The New Typoon looks very Great ..
Now i have one Question about that. I have a Problem.... I downloaded the Xmodels, installed the Graphis ( Not the Datebase etc) , changed the Model with DW Edit with no problem, but this seems to be an old Version of the new Typoon.. In the Screenshot the Sub is much detailed and have GREY Under-Waterline Painting.. my Installed Model have RED Under Waterline Painting and is not as so detailed as the Model on the Screen.. Textures a unsharp at the Main Hull etc. Whats wrong ? My Graphics are all set on high in the Game. Greetings Moc |
Will the installation of Xmodels cause DW to report a database error to other players joining the game?
|
I'm fairly certain that the xmods are incompatible with any other database mods (so it changes the database, meaning that you would get errors), but Xabba could probably fill you in on that. :hmm:

nice models indeed! but I'm having problems installing the mod: fresh install = patch 1.01...
downloaded the X-models... so? what should I do now? |
Bascially forget it as Xmodels only has some of my stuff but then I have them all packaged up for soemthing else.
|
oh ok :yep:
|
Ok... so im confused...
Xabba, are you saying not to bother with the Xmodels mod now? I just came back to Dangerous Waters after playing a few other games and I'd like to get your mod going on my install. But if you have other, bigger plans and would rather I hold off for something better, I can do that. Furthermore, I'm a database amatuer so im having trouble understanding how to use this mod anyhow. It seems like the filnames are the same, so why dont I just copy/paste them (like 3dobject.e3d) into the DW folder dbase folder, while backing up the originals? If that's what trhe batch file is supposed to do, it's failing on some weird error. Much obliged, Cav |
