My issue is keeping the thing steady to get a lock on the target...:yep:

Arclight 07-20-09 10:01 AM

Trim often... no, more than often, constantly. Really, it flies itself. You can mantain a constant course, speed and altitude towards a target without any input, while staring down at the Skvahl display and locking targets. Engaging other helo's is a different story though.

Nice to see more sharks flying around. It's a great sim for sure. I can barley touch the helicopters in ARMA2 now. Hope to see the shark-patch before christmas... :yep:

Task Force 07-21-09 04:20 PM

Glad to be flying again. :yeah:

After Longbow 2, nothing ever felt right anymore. Patch should be out next month, iirc.

A10-C should be next, probably followed by AH64-A. I guess SU-25 after that. :hmmm:

At least it didn't explode this time. :shifty:

Arclight 07-22-09 02:54 AM

Me too. Question is just if it is declassified enough to get the level of fidelity ED wants for DCS. If not, it's not gonna be there. :(

The Su-27? It's ancient and half the world is using it. The Ka-50 is a lot more classified...

I used to have A-10 Cuba! That was fun moving mud with the "Hog"!

Dowly 07-22-09 05:41 AM

Ah, A10 Cuba was great. :yeah:

Thing is, KA-50 doesn't have any radar, FLIR or fancy countermeasures/warning equipment, stuff that is more likely to be classified.

You sure KA-50 is still relatively classified? I doubt it to be honest, since ED won't do a playable model unless they have about all the information you can think of. They don't like filling blanks with guess-work for the DCS series. :hmmm:

Oberon 07-22-09 08:24 AM

Aaah, Warthog missions are great fun, nothing like using Gods finger on some rusty T-72s

Oh, and Arclight, you should have seen me in Comanche vs Hokum, trying to find the switch to do something, I think it was one of the MFDs when I hear:

"Ejecting rotors..."

Random button pressing is never a good idea... :damn:
