I am sure, and one of the things that led to the Hindenburg disaster was the fact that the United States owned the helium market. Not as light as hydrogen, but absolutely stable. So, no boom-boom, just holey blimp and no more floaty-floaty.

In reality, the K-Ships had a number of Gas bags.
So one or two holes didn't make much of a difference. BUT!! To maintain flight it depended on it's Engines. Much like any aircraft. Take the engines out? It goes down!! |
