The trouble right now is getting enough people hyped up for it. Don't get me wrong, it might be possible, but it's just going to be really difficult without anything big on the horizon. At this point, delving into the past and compiling old wisdom from old modders might be more realistic, because you might have trouble getting a critical mass of people to cover all aspects of modding the game.

True but I was never thinking it'd be a big group. Maybe 5 tops if I was lucky.

A lot of the 'older' modders are gone but the ones that remain usually try to answer questions if they fall in their area of knowledge.

A PM to them will get you answers even if they can't help with what you want.
Just don't expect an answer like 5 minutes after you PM them.
In my case it may be days before I check PM's or E-Mails and have time to answer.

Great. I'm getting the initial stuff for it down at the moment but i'll post a thread for the group within a few days.

What do you have in mind?

SH4 is all us Pacific Theater fans have (and all we have on the horizon.)

Jeff-Groves 02-16-15 05:36 PM

I'll help if I can be of use.

It'd be a group where we share our experiences of learning how to mod modding, help each other out when we get stuck, help future modders out by creating a guide for the stuff we learn(something sorely needed) and creating mods together with the ultimate goal being the creation of our own super-mod(but that'd be a bit down the line) and having fun.

avers 02-16-15 07:21 PM

Ok, should we start a new thread for this team so we'll get more attention?

Might as well go ahead and get the thread created now that I think about it.

Admiral Halsey 02-16-15 07:38 PM

Ok created the thread in the SH4 mod workshop. Here's the link and tell me if you think anything in the first post needs to be changed. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...37#post2288437
