My rickety Sopwith Pup crossing No-Man's-Land for a ground-attack sortie over enemy lines. Notice the battle raging below and the heavy ground-shelling. So much detail in this game  :

MCFS3 is a very good game actually. But OFF is the BEST! "dynamic" flight simulator that I've ever played!

Woah!!! I have that same MiG Farmer sitting on my desk! Cool, man! :|\\

@CCIP: :rotfl: :rotfl: I actually thought that was real for a second until I scrolled down and saw your hand.

My JU-88 squadron flying through a flack barrage during an attack on an Allied factory. We didn't do much damage and my baby took a few shells, but we all managed to make it home safely.

From CFS3.

I wonder if I can still score a copy of CFS3 somewhere. I always avoided it before and now I regret it.

The water graphics and models look sort of... ehhh, and the high-altitude view is terrible, but otherwise it looks quite nice and I think these mods would be cool too :hmm:

I love CFS3 -- but you should get it for CFF if nothing else. It is absolutely amazing. Just look at that screenie up top :D.

MAW looks sick, but do you know if it's a "stand-alone" mod or does it actually expand CFS3?

HunterICX 06-02-07 10:30 AM

What is it with the folks on the ground? You swing by to bomb them and they get all angry and shoot at you. :shifty:

IL2 Stunts Pt. 3, no fancy stunts, just was messing around trying things.

@Dowly: That was amazing! You're lucky you actually have a joystick with yaw control... My rudder control is 100% on my keyboard. Methinks it's about time for a new joystick. :hmm:

Kratos 06-02-07 12:47 PM

@Dowly.your a proper show-off :lol: naa nice flying mate,:up:

You maniac Dowly. :damn:

Dowly 06-02-07 02:08 PM

My twistcontrol rudder on the joystick is a bit messed up, it only takes a feather to touch the stick and the rudder points ½ to the left. It's kinda hard on dogfights, when you bank and forget to adjust the rudder slightly to the right.

Can't you calibrate your joystick so that it isn't as sensitive? Also, how should rudder be used? Rudder left when banking right, and rudder right when banking left? Or is it: rudder left when banking left, rudder right when banking right?

*Edit*: Another photo:

The B-26 boys in formation over London on their way to disrupt enemy convoys in the Channel. P-47 escorts at top-left. That river poking out under the clouds is the Thames btw:

*Edit #2*: Would someone please let me know how to turn off the radar and the plane names so I can take "cleaner" screenshots? (Shift-L did not seem to work, Chock.)

There's settings in IL2 to make the joystick less sensitive, but I've gotten used to have it on default. I dont use much rudder when turning, mainly just to keep my plane level.
