Huge european liner?

Anyone found this beast yet? I have a mighty playtime of 120 hours or so, most of it in career. Ive seen about every ship, but never a liner. I know Jefmajor found one, but has anyone else? are they incredibly rare or am I really unlucky? I want to shoot torpedos at it :<

If you're playing the Stock (Vanilla) version, they're pretty common. You just have to go to the right area, usually the Luzon Strait/Tokyo express line or the Straits just south of Japan. When I was playing stock, I began running into them every other day in those areas. I think RFB has them, though not nearly as often, can't quite remember though.

I recall running into two of them once in a convoy somewhere in the Bismarck Sea bound for Rabaul. Must have been delivering a division there.

There's 1 or 2 running around in a convoy to Truk in FORTS and there's 1 going from Tokyo to Surybia in 1944 escorted by a type 36 dd but she's doin a fair clip something like 36 knots

If you use RSRD mod, it doesn't use the Euro, guess it wasn't historic, so not added to traffic.

True. Japan had a handful of converted passenger liners that were used for troop transport. Mostly she relied on converted cargo ships. However, none of them were of the size of this Euro-liner beast which looks like the Queen Elizabeth.

Bumped into one of those a few days ago. Heading North off the West coast of Luzon, trying to make good time for the strait.

Here she is up close!

She may outrun my sub, but she can't outrun a couple of torpedoes!

This ship was my first actual kill of the war...and my first successful kill with Manual Torpedo data entry!

My game of course is stock 1.5, I cannot seem to mod it at all, though I did just recently get access to screenshots finally!

Happy hunting!
