688i Blue Interface Mod
Recently returned to DW again, and saw someone suggest a blue version of the red interface mod I put out a few years ago.
While the red version was modelled after the Dallas in "The Hunt for Red October", the blue version takes on modern submarine bridges with blue hues, like this one --> https://prometheus.med.utah.edu/~bwj...r-room-700.jpg Download is here --> https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=6061 Enjoy :) |
Nice.
BTW, if you really want some immersion, add the new files except for Radio.dll, radio.grp, and radio.ndx. Radio doesn't need to rig for low light. Don't ask, just trust me. :03: |

No need to upload a completely different mod. :) Also, the .dll files are unrelated to the mod and don't have to be replaced. |
Well, here's where it gets weird. :O:
In theory, the torpedo room should always be "rigged for white" because you don't want low light when you're moving fish around or doing maint. HOWEVER, the torpedo room can also double as crew berthing so "rig for colors" might be in use. Anyway, these are some great immersion mods and I don't want it to sound like I'm being critical. :Kaleun_Cheers: |

I find that the blue (or red) mod makes it easier on the eyes to pick out contacts on sonar and preserves your night-vision if you're playing DW at night. |
It depends, many non-quals have seen sent forth to locate the locker that contains the "shore line" or the "Domino's pizza buoy". :D

Don't forget the "Bucket of chow line" and the "Mail buoy".
