Well, if he's in Prague and the Soviets have returned, that's a possibility. :88)

Today was the day. The day when finally, after a three year's wait, my copy of Steel Beasts Pro arrived. I chaotically played my first three battles, and managed to get rolled over by a whole batallion of tanks it seems. Looks good, sounds even better.

THE WHOLE DAMN THING IS LIKE INHALATING A NUCLEAR BLAST

It's fair to say that my expectations have not only been met, but surpassed.

I now start with the test batteries I have prepared, and finetuning the review, it needs many corrections, almost all of them for the better. But I say in advance: if you miss this one, guys, than no doctor can help you.

The tank genre will find lots of new recruits with this one.

My next essay definitely will not be a political one ;) ETA 1-2 weeks.

All further impression I will post in the tank forum.

Sir Big Jugs 03-02-06 11:11 AM

My tank-guess was right! Don't I get a cookie?

Skybird 03-02-06 11:12 AM

Shutup or you get feeded a round :smug:

If they're tasty cookies they can stop the enemy better than missiles! :hmm:

I'm reminded of that movie "The Beast" when the Soviets run some Afgan over with their T-64 (at least I think it was a T-64). :hmm:

Kapitan 03-02-06 01:24 PM

Does this mean that you waited for the development team to make the sim, and recently ordered it, or that you pre-ordered three years ago?

Naw that tank driver is a fan of Patton, he wanted to use a German to grease the tracks of his tank before going in to battle.

I would love to play Steel Beasts Pro PE but could never pay $125 for a video game. I don't care how great it is. Looks cool and I'm sure it was very costly to develop but that much for a video game is just crazy IMO. :hmm: I suppose its worth it as military training program but my military service has been over for years.
