The Avon Lady's SH3 FAQ

Not really but it's a good start-off point for newbies, I think.

And I added my effort to the X1 boycott by supplying my list of installed mods with direct download links, towards the bottom of the page.

Not bad!

Maybe you should change the part about SubSim ("registration required"). Let them know that a reg is only required to read the Mods forum, all others can be read without registration. That sounds less "scaring" than a general "registration required". ;)

By the way, nice tower emblem...

Cool site Avon, I see a little bit of your great humour has crept in, I hope you can keep it seriously funny, I've book-marked it btw. :)

Many thanks for sharing your list of mods and the best order to install them. I note from previous posts that you have made, you also edit the main.cfg file. I' ve been experimenting with Wolfie's Tweek Pak - Do you still use these settings?

I do have one burning question, is there a particular order to install the

mods on your FAQ Avon?

I just need to know. :D

I was wondering, is there a way to increase SH3's display resolution beyond 1024x768? ;)

Thank you Mylady!

After leaving the game alone for some months I got it up and running again in no time using your FAQ, thanks!

I have some quest/suggestions:

1. Regarding the Hi Res mod. I simply threw the 2 files associated with it (according readme) in SHIII main folder. As my max res is 1280*1024 and the cfg file already shows this, am I correct to assume all work is done and the game now functions at the higher res???
I find it hard to check if I did it succesfully...

2. In an attempt to return your favor (and taking the chance of pointing you out to something outdated) I like to suggest the following mods I used to have and found very cool:

a. "SH3CrushDepth_build55" A mod enabling you to randomize the crush depth of your current boat within historical limits. No boat will be the same...

b. "sh3inttexv1" An eye candy mod significantly improving interior textures. Especially nice if you, for example, compare the metal floorparts of the ship with the default ones, and many other good things. (after my attempt at HiRes, those panels still werent THAT good)

Cheers, Trebby
