Your prediction for 2024

So what do you think will happen on the political arena.

Will there be peace in Ukraine or ?
Will China take the step and invade Taiwan ?
Will Trump once again triumph or ?

I toke only some of the major stuff, there's a lot more that could happen in 2024

Like would UK rejoin EU again ?

Ostfriese 12-28-23 10:47 AM

"No" to all four questions.

To speak in images: "There'll be a lot of waves, but little impact on ships and shores."

Things will get much more difficult, that much I dare to predict. My basic attitude is pessimistic (=realistic).

Jimbuna 12-28-23 12:58 PM

What are your predictions Markus?

My Prediction are:

There will not be peace in Ukraine *
China will not invade Taiwan
Trump will win the election(just a feeling)
UK will not rejoin EU

Venezuela will invade Guyana and thereby start a war with Brazil and/or Surinam

* However the supply from the West will be a lot lesser than the year before (2023) So Ukraine has to fight the Russian in guerilla warfare.

Israel will strike targets in Iran with drones.

USA will have a fight with Yemen and Iran.

EU-They don't know which foot they should be standing on in these crisis who may occur in 2024

I think you may be wrong regarding China and Taiwan but I hope you aren't.

ET2SN 12-28-23 01:46 PM

I think China wants to pull a "friendly occupation" a la Hong Kong.

Watch for a thawing of relations followed by China getting a toe hold on Taiwan. :o

The invasion will come, but not before autumn 2025.

Greta Thunberg gets struck by Lightning and wakes from her coma with a whole different personality, and becomes a fanatic advocate for Coal, Oil, and Nuclear Power.

"Forgve me", she says, "I've seen the Light :) . I've been the puppet of Marxist Academics....but no more!!!" :arrgh!::arrgh!::arrgh!:

You should have done that already some years ago! :03: Why buying gold when the prices are already high?

They will not go up endlessly, however, the govenrments and central banks heavily manipulate the gold price to strip it off its alarm function for the public. A high gold price would tell everybody that the government's fiscal policies suck. They do not allow such a clear signal. The process by which the gold price gets agreed on by that certain board, is highly dubious and murky at best - and thus very prone for political interference. Also, central banks will do their share in buying or selliong to manipulate the gold price as wanted, according to the will of their political masters.

And if all that does not work anymore to keep up the facade, they will prohibit private possession again.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any sicker around here.

I do believe it's time, once again, to take a long leave from Subsim.

Jimbuna,
Would you be so kind and lock me out of Subsim for awhile?
Put me in the brig or something before I get all kinds of stupid!
