Yell at me You SOB!

On thing that can set me off on a wanting to go full Psycho?
Yell at me!

I can talk in depth about any issue on job sites and work to adjust.
But the very second anyone starts yelling at me?
I'm ready to dig a hole and bury whatever is left of them!

I don't get along with people that attempt to dominate me in that manor.
And they go right on my **** list forever!

No drinking involved at this point.
I'm a functional Psychopath until someone yells at me in an attempt to dominate me!

I have over 20 years with Nancy. 16 married to her.
There is not any point we have ever yelled at one another since the year 2000!
A lot of just not talking until calmed down but NEVER yelling!
I felt so bad yelling at her back then I swore I'd never do that again.
She is the love of my Life. My best friend.
I'll never hurt her by yelling at her.

And Arlo,
I don't carry weapons.
I don't believe in carrying weapons myself. But I do believe in the right to do so.

Good man.

Jeff-Groves 09-24-21 12:48 PM

I don't think I'm anything special.
I just know yelling only gets you to bad places.
Took me 2 marriages to figure that out.
Job sites? I can't tell you the number of times I've went through that crap!
And they never forget me when it has went there!
But I'm still highly requested and respected because of my stance.

That Guy was claiming to be a Deep Sea Diver or something wasn't he?
Totally invited himself into our space with no invitation.

Either that or an ex-Seal and iirc on that very night he was down on his luck and waiting for some bar manager he was hoping to get a job from.

This picture is a clear indicator of the rise in tensions. It's a pity Tarjak/Grant who took the picture didn't get our 'friend' inshot.

I grew up in a family of yellers. It did have an effect on me and is probably one of the reasons why I don't yell at people.

But I agree, if someone yells at me, I have unpleasant flashbacks.

em2nought 09-25-21 12:28 PM

I'm not at all fond of people who need to dominate other people. I have a friend who I made exception for because at least he knew his ****, but that exception for him has grown exceedingly tiresome over the years. :yep:

Almost the same here, only different here it was my parents who on daily basis yelled at each other...couple of years later they got divorced.

So when someone yell at me or at some others I get unpleasant flashbacks

Parents need to understand the effect that can have on their kids.

I am just glad that, unlike some other parents, I was able to break the cycle and not continue like my parents did

I had a few times Site Supervisors yelled at me.
Those went REAL BAD for them! Case in point:

I was at a Home Depot getting materials when a Super called me on the phone.
He started yelling at me and cussing me out for reporting him to his Boss.
I told him to stay right at the site I'd be there in 15 minutes then hung up.
I left the materials without checking out, got in the Van and headed back.
I called my Boss and told him what was going on and told him I was going to beat that Guy to near death! I then hung up and shut off my phone!

I arrived at the Site, kicked the door open, and walked in with my Estwing hammer in hand with the full intent of caving in his skull!
My Boss had warned him I was coming and the arse hole ran as soon as he saw me walk in!

The next day HIS BOSS flew from Ohio to Florida to resolve the issue.
The results were he lost his job and to this day his Boss just likes the heck out of me!

That Company has told EVERY Project Manager and Supervisor yelling at me is NOT ACCEPTABLE and will have a bad out come one way or the other!

I still do a lot of work all over the USA for them and am on the preferred list for demolition projects.
Most recent jobs coming up are in Kokomo, Indiana and Reno, Nevada.
:D

If an employee gets me to the point I feel I need to yell at him?
I end up with one less employee.

August 09-26-21 11:03 AM

Well getting irritated at being yelled at is one thing, but to me setting out on a declared intent to murder someone with a freaking hammer implies a seriously dangerous lack of self control. I'd have fired you on the spot for even making such a threat about a coworker and would have reported the incident to the law.

Maybe you're just talking crap but God forbid you actually carried it out. I would not want to have to explain to a grieving family member why I didn't say anything when there was a still chance to stop you.

If this story is true, you are lucky that criminal charges were not placed on you
